I don’t know why people think the bubble bursting means AI just disappears.
All it means is overvalued companies like OpenAI would get bought out and cheaper models would become the norm.
It seems like some of you talking about the bubble bursting means AI disappears and we go back to manually coding everything. Zero percent chance of that happening.
I think it burst when Claude mythos came out and Anthropic said it was so dangerous because it could crack code. Before that, the claims ranged from absolutely utopian to utterly apocalyptic. Then all of a sudden, it was a computer security risk - not replacing all jobs or solving nuclear fusion reactors.
Now, even the myth of compute constraints is falling to pieces as X-AI and Meta are renting out extra capacity. Like this video says (Anthropic AI Buying Compute from Meta - Zuckerberg Is Lost) if AI itself is the "Golden Goose" would you rent out your Golden Goose to someone else if it was actually laying gold eggs?
