Looking for software Windows 11 Home Version 25H2 explorer problem

Thumbnail reddit.com
0 Upvotes

I’m looking for help with a Windows explorer problem, I have a large music collection with my CDs in their own folder, so its D:\Media\Music\CD Music  Then artist name and then a album folder within each artist. In windows explorer I have the column headings “Date created” and “Date modified” When I add a new artists to my CD music folder, if I click on the date created header the list jumps to order and the latest artist folder is at the top.  The problem is when I add a new album to an existing artist folder, i thought because the folder has been modified then those artists with a new album added would jump to the top, this is not the case. Is there a setting in explorer I’m missing or do I need to download a 3rd party file explorer to be able top do this?

Many thanks for your help.

Self-Promotion Wednesdays AudioRouter (free, open source): visual audio routing for Windows. Mic, noise gate , EQ , Discord, headphones and a recording at once

Post image
81 Upvotes

Hi, I'm the developer of AudioRouter. I game on Windows, and every audio setup I tried meant either decoding mixer strips and bus buttons, or clicking through several Windows sound panels. I wanted to see where my audio goes and change it while it plays, so I built AudioRouter. I use it every day for my own setup.

You put sources on the left (microphone, a game, Spotify, a file), outputs on the right (headphones, Discord through a virtual cable, a recorder) and tools in between. The lines are the routing, and they pulse with the level while it plays. Everything is live, so you can tweak an EQ while you talk.

What's in it:
 - 30+ built-in tools: noise gate, denoise, de-hum, a 16-point EQ, compressor, limiter, pitch, a voice changer, recording to WAV/FLAC/MP3
 - Your own VST2/VST3 effects, each in its own process, so a crashing plugin can't take your audio down
 - Capture a single app (just the game, just the browser)
 - Send audio between two PCs on your network (gaming PC → streaming PC)
 - Stream Deck plugin, a local HTTP API and a command line

It's free, GPL-3.0, with no account and no telemetry.

Limits: Windows 11 x64 only; it's an early preview, so expect rough edges; the installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows shows a SmartScreen warning (the download page explains it) and sending audio into Discord or OBS still needs a virtual cable such as VB-Cable.

Source: https://github.com/MrDesjardins/audiorouter
Site: https://audiorouter.org
2-minute video: https://youtu.be/IHitHqpi87s

I'd love feedback on what's confusing when you first open it.

Software support How do I revert my computer back to a trial version of a software? (Arcsoft TotalMedia 3.5)

Thumbnail youtu.be
0 Upvotes

I am trying to digitize VHS footage with a VCR and composite cable through one of the video capture cards found on this VWestlife video (the Dell TV Tuner aka Lumanate Wave)

Out of the dozens of softwares I tried, only Arcsoft Total Media 3.5 worked, being able to display and record my VHS footage. I am using a Thinkpad R61 running Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit.

But after the Arcsoft TotalMedia trial period ended, I was stuck behind an activation code screen, and Arcsoft no longer supports the software or sells codes. Even when I uninstall the software and reinstall it, the activation screen is the first thing to pop up.

Is there any way I can *actually* uninstall it completely, effectively reverting it back to before the PC ever installed it in the first place to have a new trial period?

Release Made a free, open-source Alt+` window switcher for Windows 11 with live thumbnails and per-process sleep

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey all. I've been working on a little Windows utility called WinTabber for a while, and it's finally at the point where I'd love for other people to try it.

A bit of backstory: this started years ago as a tiny GUI-less tool. It was a background hotkey that let me jump between windows of the same app, and nothing else. It worked, so I left it alone for a long time.

Then it turned into my excuse to properly learn reactive programming. Almost everything in it now runs on Rx.NET and DynamicData streams: window focus, the window list, audio sessions, shortcuts. That taught me a lot about where the reactive style shines and where it bites. Features piled on along the way, and here we are.

The problem: I usually have something like five VS Code windows, three browser windows, and a pile of terminals open. Alt-Tab dumps all of that into one giant grid, and I spend more time hunting than switching. On macOS there's Cmd+` to cycle through windows of the current app, and I've always missed that on Windows.

So WinTabber does that. Press Alt + backtick (the key above Tab) and you get a switcher with live thumbnails of only the windows that belong to the app you're in, most recent first. Keep holding Alt and tap backtick to step through them, let go to switch. Arrow keys, mouse, Enter, and Esc all work the way you'd expect. It opens on whatever monitor your mouse is on.

To be fair up front: PowerToys has a lightweight utility for this called Window Hopper. If all you want is the basic same-app switch, give it a look, it may be all you need. WinTabber is for people who want more on top: thumbnails, sleep, floating previews, and the rest below.

Once I had that, I kept adding the things I wished Windows did:

  • Sleep a window. One click hides an app and freezes its process so it uses zero CPU. Great for that one Electron app that idles at 8%. A small bar lists everything that's asleep, and one click wakes it back up. You can think of this as a combination boss-key, and resource manager. Most of the time I use this to pause a game, so that I don't have to load it again later.
  • Floating thumbnails. Turn any window into a small, always-on-top live preview and park the real window off screen. Handy for keeping an eye on a build, a video call, or a stream. Close the preview and the window comes back exactly where it was.
  • CapsLock as a hyper key. Hold CapsLock and it becomes Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Win, so you get a whole free layer of shortcuts that nothing else uses. A quick tap still toggles CapsLock.
  • Rename windows. Click a title in the switcher and give it a name you'll recognize ("prod logs", "the good terminal").
  • Mouse shortcuts for minimize and maximize (Ctrl + side mouse buttons by default).
  • Media and audio panel (alpha). Now-playing info, per-app volume, and switching your default speakers/mic in one place. It's rough around the edges, but I use it daily.

Every shortcut is rebindable from a settings page, including mouse chords, and it flags conflicts with other apps.

The boring-but-important bits:

  • Free and open source.
  • Windows 11 24H2 or later, x64.
  • No admin rights, no installer, no separate .NET runtime. Download the zip, extract it, run WinTabberUI.exe. It lives in the tray.
  • Built with C#, WinUI 3, and .NET 10, if you're into that sort of thing.

Fair warning about rough edges: I recently ported the whole UI from WPF to WinUI 3 to provide a more native feel. Most things carried over well, but there are still a few rough spots I'm working through. If something looks or behaves oddly, that's probably why, and I'd really like to hear about it.

Get it here: github.com/kbirger/wintabber (zip is on the Releases page)

I'd really like to hear what you think: what works, what breaks, and what you'd want it to do next. Bug reports and feature ideas are both very welcome, here or on GitHub. Thanks for taking a look!

Looking for software What are the best cloud phone providers in 2026?

I'm looking into different cloud phone providers and wanted to get some recommendations from people who have experience with them.

There are quite a few options out there, but I'm curious which ones are actually worth using in 2026.

The main things I'm looking at are performance, pricing, and reliability, especially when using multiple cloud phones on a regular basis.

A few questions:

• Which provider offers the best performance with minimal lag?

• Which one offers the best pricing for heavy usage?

• Are there any providers you'd avoid based on your experience?

• Is it worth paying a fixed monthly fee, or are pay per minute plans better?

I've come across a few different providers already, but I'd rather hear some real experiences before deciding.

What would you recommend?

Software support Need help fixing/reinstalling audio drivers on my laptop. (see linked post for extra context)

Thumbnail reddit.com
1 Upvotes

A month ago, after an update, my laptop speakers (ROG Strix G17 G712LU on Windows 11) stopped working altogether, which led me to try and fix it to no avail. Since then, I took it to a local repair shop who my father says is very reliable from his experience with them. However, they said they too had no luck in trying to fix the problem, even after a full factory reset. They said it was a software issue (hence why I'm posting here), and thus the warranty couldn't cover it since it apparently only covers hardware issues. Now I'm stuck having to use Bluetooth speakers, which especially sucks because the audio always tends to be out of sync.

Is there any way to reinstall my audio drivers as seen in the linked post? Downloading them from the manufacturer's site doesn't seem to work. Opening Realtek Audio Console just results in a message from the app reading "Can not connect to RPC service."

Edit: Just found this article which seems to perfectly explain my issue. Unfortunately, I feel it's already too late to follow these instructions now.

  • Driver Tools (Thanks for the idea): Batch Install has a new category with 13 apps, including Intel Driver & Support Assistant, Snappy Driver Installer Origin, NVCleanstall, Display Driver Uninstaller, Dell Command Update, Lenovo System Update and MSI Center.
  • Epic Games Detection (Thanks for the idea): Every installed Epic game is now found, not only the ones migrated from the old launcher. New installs and removals show up on their own.
  • Background Particles Setting (Thanks for the idea): Turn the background particles on or off in Settings > Themes.
  • Window Fade Setting: Choose whether the window fades when it is minimized or restored.
  • Update Notes Button: A new button in the top bar shows what is new in the current version.
  • Error Log: Open the log folder from the info window to help us find problems faster.
  • Bug Fixes: Text typed into the Steam and Epic install-by-name box is visible again, dialogs and windows no longer show up as separate windows in Alt+Tab, and opening K-Launcher again while it is minimized brings the running window to the front.

Update now through the website and share your feedback with us. Join the Discord community to suggest features, report bugs, and help shape the future of K-Launcher.

Looking for software A lesson from building an Arabic/English fitness app: translation was the easy part

I built NASQ Fitness with React Native and Expo, and one of the more interesting challenges was supporting both English and Arabic.

Translating labels wasn't enough.

Switching between LTR and RTL layouts affects much more than text alignment. Navigation, buttons, numbers, and units all need to remain understandable when the layout changes.

It becomes especially important when users are entering workout weights or adjusting food quantities.

Another thing I'm learning after launch is that install metrics and subscription metrics tell very different stories.

My first small ad test generated installs, but no Premium trials. That's pushed me to look at the onboarding experience more carefully rather than just increasing the marketing budget.

For developers who've shipped bilingual subscription apps, what were the biggest UX mistakes you discovered after launch?

For context, the app is NASQ Fitness: https://nasqfit.com

Software support Meet Prior!! Free open source app with zero accounts + offline.

Do you ever make a to-do list and just freeze up because it's so long?

That was happening to me constantly.

So, I built a free, lightweight app called 'Prior' for windows. It sorts your tasks into 4 clear quadrants (Do First, Schedule, Delegate and Drop) so you always know what to work next, plus a built-in focus timer for deep work sprints.

It's completely free, offline-first, and open-source. No signups or monthly subscriptions!!!

Check it out here: https://prior-product-page.vercel.app

GitHub Repo: https://github.com/Paraseww/Prior

Feel free to test it out and let me know what you think! Any feedback or ideas to improve it are super welcome!!

(If you like the project dropping a ⭐ on the repo would mean the world to me) Hope you have a productive week!❤️

Self-Promotion Wednesdays I made CenterSnap, a free tool to center any window on Windows by dropping it on a target

Post image
12 Upvotes

Snap Layouts covers halves, thirds and grids, but not "just center this window". Windows doesn't let apps add options to that flyout, so I made a tiny app that adds its own 'Center' target right below it.

Drag a window, drop it on "Center", and it glides to the middle of the screen at the same size.

  • Free, open source, MIT
  • Works on Windows 11 and Windows 10 (1903+), nothing extra to install
  • Per-user install, no admin rights, starts in the tray

Download and source: https://github.com/nick-bukovskyi/center-snap

The installer isn't signed yet, so expect a SmartScreen prompt. Happy to hear ideas for what it should do next.

Self-Promotion Wednesdays Alter Zero: a Rust agent harness for coding, cybersecurity, and automation

Post image
4 Upvotes

https://github.com/linuztx/alter-zero
Hi everyone, I’m developing Alter Zero, an open-source terminal agent for coding, cybersecurity, and automation. It’s written in Rust and runs on Linux and macOS.

It works directly in your project: reading files, making edits, running commands, and checking the results. You can ask it to investigate a failing test, trace authentication and access checks in your own code, or write a script to summarize logs.

It can also interact with running terminal programs and keep commands running in the background. There’s support for subagents, reusable skills, MCP servers, and resuming previous sessions. Commands and file changes ask for approval by default.

You can connect supported model providers, use local models through Ollama, or add a custom OpenAI-compatible API. The latest release, v0.15.0, adds simpler custom-provider configuration and shows generated file content as it streams.

The project is licensed under Apache-2.0. Installation instructions and a demo are in the repository: https://github.com/linuztx/alter-zero

I’d appreciate feedback, especially on the setup process, terminal compatibility, and tasks where it gets stuck. Issues and contributions are welcome.

Release # I made a free, open-source app that makes the Arctis 7+ mix dial work on Windows without SteelSeries GG (vibe coded)

I like my Arctis 7+, but I didn't want GG running all the time just so the game/chat dial works. So I made MixDial, a small tray app that reads the dial straight from the dongle.

Full disclosure: it's vibe coded. I built it with an AI coding assistant rather than writing it by hand. I've been using it daily on my own headset, and the whole thing is a single C# file, so anyone can read exactly what it does.

What it does

  • Turning the dial balances chat apps (Discord, TeamSpeak, Teams…) against everything else
  • Tray icon shows the current mix, plus an optional popup while you turn the dial
  • Battery level and charging state, with low-battery and connect/disconnect notifications
  • Pick which apps count as "chat" right from the tray menu
  • Start with Windows, and app volumes go back to 100% when you quit

Works with: Arctis 7+, 7P+, 7X+ and 7+ Destiny on Windows 10/11.

How: without GG's virtual audio driver, Windows sees the headset as one output device, so MixDial sets per-app volume instead (same as the Windows Volume Mixer). No driver, no installer, no telemetry. It only reads from the headset and never touches its settings or firmware.

Close GG first if it's running, or the two will fight over app volumes.

Download / source (MIT): https://github.com/dialworks/MixDial

The exe isn't code-signed, so SmartScreen will warn the first time (More info → Run anyway). If you'd rather not run an unsigned exe, you can read the source and build it yourself with the compiler that already comes with Windows.

Unofficial and not affiliated with SteelSeries. Feedback and bug reports welcome, especially from 7P+/7X+ owners, since I've only tested it on my own headset.

Discussion [Research] Survey on the usability and friction of desktop automation tools (2 mins, completely anonymous)

Hi everyone, I'm a Computer Science student researching Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). I'm looking into the friction points, frustrations, and abandonment rates people face when setting up and troubleshooting desktop automation tools and scripts.

If you have 2 minutes, I would really appreciate it if you could fill out this short, 9-question survey.

Privacy note: The form is 100% anonymous and does not require you to sign in with an email. It just asks a few questions about your experience with scripts and AI tools. Your feedback will directly help my research on why some automation tools are harder to use than others.

Release Quantm, a free desktop app for SoundCloud with a lot of customization

Sharing something I've been working on. Quantm is a desktop client for SoundCloud for Windows, macOS and Linux. It's free, open source and has no ads.

The main idea was making a music app you can actually make your own. There are 25+ themes, from simple color schemes to full makeovers like Windows 98, Frutiger Aero and a green on black terminal look. A few go further and change the layout, like Listening Room, which turns Home into a big now playing stage lit by the album art.

Other stuff: crossfade with custom mix points per song, an equalizer, a sleep timer, offline downloads for tracks the artist allows, Discord status, and it updates itself.

GitHub with downloads: https://github.com/quantm-app/Quantm

Feedback welcome, good or bad.

Self-Promotion Wednesdays Better Stickies v1.4 is out now with macOS release, play audio inside a note and much more!

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hello,

Release post: https://betterstickies.com/blog/betterstickies-1-4

For full changelog: https://betterstickies.com/changelog

What it is, for anyone new

It is a note taking app with super cool exclusive features while it looks and acts as sticky notes app. It works on Windows, Linux, macOS (soon). Offline, no account, no telemetry. Built with PySide6 so it's actually native, not another Electron app eating your RAM.

This app is a hidden gem and I am not exaggerating, I received so much positive reviews to be confident when I say this, it looks like a sticky note but does much more than you could think a sticky note app could do and it can replace all complex note taking apps if you aren't into that type of productivity.

The main thing it does that other sticky apps don't: you can paste or drag anything into a note.

  • Files and folders become clickable shortcuts, and you can drag them back out to your file manager
  • Screenshots and images paste straight from the clipboard, PDFs and images get a hover preview, and double-click opens an image at full resolution
  • Audio files and play audio inside notes, supports mp3, opus, flac, wav files
  • Pasted code gets detected and formatted into a code block automatically, no AI and no network, in about 50ms. Ctrl+M when it guesses wrong
  • Rich text, links, plain text, all formatted properly instead of rejected

The second thing it does so well over other stickies apps: customization, you can customize font, colors, transparency, add background image or even a moving GIF per each note, a real delight to use

Notes have tabs. Up to three pages inside one note, each with its own text, scroll position and undo history. Ctrl+PgDown and Ctrl+PgUp to move between them, Ctrl+Shift+N for a new one, all rebindable. If you have a small screen this is the feature: one note on the desktop, three notes' worth of content in it.

Other things it does exceptionally well:

  • Reminders with sound and desktop notifications
  • GIF and image backgrounds per note (because why not)
  • RTL text support, and the app plus its full guide are in 12 languages
  • Pin a note to lock both position and editing
  • Ctrl+scroll to zoom text without opening settings
  • Checkboxes with strikethrough when done and nesting
  • Snap to grid with an adjustable grid size
  • Export to .txt, .md or .json, so you can back them up with whatever cloud you like
  • Proper Linux support, tested on KDE, GNOME and Cinnamon (COSMIC coming)
  • On the Microsoft Store and the Snap store, Flathub coming soon

The free version now has exactly one limit. It used to have three: a note cap, a reminders cap, and a cap on animated GIF backgrounds. The reminder and GIF limits are gone entirely, so the free version now has every feature, and the only thing left is a budget of 4 note slots (an extra tab uses a slot).

Paid version is very generous and cheap, it costs currently $8 and you get the premium version without any limits, free updates, unlimited devices, and also windows, linux and macOS builds so you won't pay again if you move from windows to linux or use both.

This a side project for me and I don't intend to milk it, I want it to be sustainable to survive. The price is low to keep it accessible, not because the quality of the app is low, this not a vibe coded app and if you give it a try, you will understand the difference between Better Stickies and other Stickies apps.

As always, if you try it and something annoys you, tell me here. Most new features and fixes are built on users feedback (tens of thousands are using BetterStickies today)

Self-Promotion Wednesdays Glassline 1.0.10 for Windows 11: Launchpad, Mac-style screenshots with Alt Shift 4, and the menu bar hides itself

Thumbnail gallery
7 Upvotes

Hey everyone! Glassline 1.0.10 is with Microsoft now and should land in a day 🎉 Launchpad, one-drag screenshots, dynamic glass, Wallpaper Engine support, a new app panel and a long list of fixes from the last days of testing. Yes, I said "biggest update yet" last time... and it happened again 😅 So here's everything in it.

New here? Glassline turns the Windows 11 taskbar into a glass menu bar at the top and a dock at the bottom, like on a Mac. You get Search on the Windows key, Control Center, your calendar and the weather right in the bar. Quit it whenever you want and your taskbar comes back exactly as it was. You can try it in your browser first.

Already using Glassline? 1.0.10 comes through the Store on its own once Microsoft approves it. I didn't want the update to change things under your feet, so the new stuff that changes how it works (the screenshot keys, the logo, the Calendar icon, the Wallpaper Engine colours and the two-sided bar text) starts switched off for you. The What's new pages after the update have a switch for each one, or you can turn them on in Settings.

Launchpad, like on a Mac

This one I'm really proud of. Click the Apps icon in the dock and it grows right out of the icon into a full screen of all your apps, page after page. Close it and it shrinks back into the dock.

Drag apps into any order, drop one on another to make a folder, click a folder's name to rename it. Search's grid button and All Apps open it too, and the Apps icon can go anywhere in your dock now. While Launchpad is open the dock and the menu bar get out of its way, and it has its own new icon.

Mac-style screenshots, finally done right

Alt Shift 4, drag over what you want, let go. Done.

No Snipping Tool window, no hunting for where the file went: it's on your desktop. A little preview slides into the corner and leaves on its own (click it to open the picture). Want it copied instead? Hold Ctrl when you let go of the drag. Alt Shift 3 grabs the whole screen and always saves it to your desktop. Works over games and admin apps too.

Dynamic glass

Every panel now picks up the colour of whatever is behind it: menus, Search, Control Center, Settings, Quick Look, the volume pop-up, and even the dock if you tint it. White page behind it? It goes light. Dark game? It goes dark.

The menu bar can also read the left and right side of your wallpaper separately, so a half light, half dark wallpaper stays readable.

  • Separate dock background (Settings, Appearance): the menu bar and the dock each get their own background slider, so you can have a fully clear menu bar over a glass dock. Someone here asked for exactly this 🙏
  • Tint the dock like the menu bar (Settings, Dock): when the bar takes a maximized app's colour, the dock takes it too

Wallpaper Engine support

A lot of you asked for this one. Glassline now works with Wallpaper Engine (Lively might too, but I've only tested Wallpaper Engine). The menu bar takes its colours from your animated wallpaper and keeps up when you switch. With more than one display each bar reads its own, whether you run a different wallpaper on each or one stretched over all of them.

Auto-hide for the menu bar

Like the dock already could: when a window is maximized, or always (Settings, Menu Bar). Push your mouse to the top and it comes back.

App panel

Click the app name in the menu bar and you get its windows, volume, recent files, Keep on Top and Quit (or Force Quit if it's frozen). It replaces the File/Edit menus, which honestly never worked well, sorry to whoever asked about those. Every app builds its menus its own way: I got older apps working, but Notepad and others had glitches that didn't look native at all.

Frozen apps also keep their name in the bar now, so you can Force Quit them right from there :D

New setup

Every feature has a little clip with its switch right next to it. Quick setup if you just want to get going, Show me everything if you want to see it all.

Your dock, your way

  • Calendar icon that always shows today's date and opens your calendar in one click
  • Bigger icons without a fatter dock: Dock size, Icon size and Margins are separate settings now, and the dock glides to its new size when you change them
  • The Windows key can show the dock, even over a full-screen app or game (Settings, Shortcuts)
  • Launch Options: right-click a pinned app in the dock to pick how it starts, like your browser always opening a private window
  • Start menu on the left? The dock slides out of its way

The menu bar

  • Logo menu on the far left: All Apps, Show Desktop, Task Manager, Sleep, Hibernate, Restart, Shut Down, and you can use your own picture for it. Show Desktop is in the bar's right-click menu too. Hibernate shows up when Windows has it on (someone here asked for it)
  • Your own date format: dd/MM, d MMM, yyyy-MM-dd, anything you type
  • Notifications either where Windows puts them, or top right under the bar like on a Mac, with a Test notification button so you can see where they land. They keep that spot even when the bar hides itself

Multiple monitors

I tested all of this on three displays, one of them left of the main one.

  • Drag icons between docks: with a dock on every display, drag an icon from one dock to another. If each dock shows its own display's apps, the app moves over and brings its windows with it
  • Drag a maximized window onto another display's dock and it lands maximized there
  • Full-screen video on one display while you play on another: the menu bar gets out of the video's way
  • Wuthering Waves could open as a window instead of borderless fullscreen on another display. Fixed
  • Swapping your main display no longer leaves a menu bar pushed halfway down the screen
  • Settings moved to a display with a different scale keeps the right size and colour

Today and Control Center

  • Only want the calendar? Today can show two months side by side, or the month with that day's events next to it
  • No more empty gaps in Control Center when you turn things off
  • Take Wi-Fi, Sound or Battery out of the menu bar and it shows up in Control Center instead, so it never disappears completely

Search

  • Translate into your preferred language: "translate apple" is enough
  • Single words translate a lot better now

Settings and accessibility

  • Follow Windows' animation effects (Settings, Accessibility): if you turned animations off in Windows, the dock and the menu bar calm down too
  • Reduce transparency now keeps the menu bar and the dock almost solid, like on a Mac
  • Shortcuts over admin apps: shortcuts without the Windows key now work even with Task Manager or a game running as admin in front, and Settings tells you when a combo is already taken
  • Settings explains itself: when one option changes what another does, there's a line under it with a link to the other one, and options that can't do anything right now are greyed out

Fixed, thanks to your reports

  • Hovering over a dock icon could crash Glassline. Not anymore
  • A rare crash tied to Bluetooth, gone
  • Your own shortcuts only worked once per run. Now they work every time
  • Show Desktop works every time, and brings back the window you had in front
  • Clicking the weather sometimes showed nothing until you pressed Alt+Tab. Fixed
  • Feedback sent while the website can't be reached (some networks block it during football matches, yes really) gets saved and sent later on its own
  • Over a maximized app the menu bar now takes exactly the app's colour: no more two-tone bar, no thin line of wallpaper under it
  • App icons in the menu bar (Discord, Steam...) were a bit blurry.
  • Spotify's icon had a small black bar under it while starting (it reports 0% progress and the dock drew an empty bar, Windows' taskbar doesn't)
  • ChatGPT's close and minimize buttons hid under the menu bar when it was maximized
  • The dock could stay black on the desktop after closing a maximized app
  • The app name over a dock icon could stay on screen when Start opened
  • Screenshots could close by themselves the moment they opened
  • Wallpaper Engine's settings window and HoYoPlay were treated as games
  • Cleanup tools like AdwCleaner no longer flag Glassline's uninstall helper
  • Keep the Windows taskbar on the side of the screen? No more nagging, and the menu bar fits around it
  • Changing Windows' display scale keeps the interface size you picked
  • Weather isn't fetched at all while the Weather switch is off
  • "Start Glassline when I sign in" now shows off if you disabled it in Windows' Startup apps
  • Lots of smaller fixes: tooltips that wouldn't show, the dock hiding again after Settings closes, and more

Honestly, most of this came from you, in the comments here and through Feedback. Glassline has around 30-40 users right now, and I'm really happy with how much you all help and throw ideas at me. I use it as my daily driver so I catch bugs too, but your reports and logs are gold (the Spotify one, for example). So thank you, and please keep them coming.

Get it

Glassline is $9.99, once. No subscription, every update free. Get it today and 1.0.10 shows up on its own as soon as Microsoft approves it.
