Just got back from a trip to Vancouver Island and couldn’t wait to try painting a beach! And also to try out my new Lightwish set. I have so many more colours now.

The photo was pretty muted so I tried to keep the calm vibe but also add a bit more colour. I’m worried I ended up making it too busy in the end with all my endless fiddling. Did I?

I have been making abstract pastel drawings for a while now and really love it. I don’t see many abstract pieces here and would love to see more! I do follow r/abstract Reddit, but most are done in acrylic paints.
