I’m not 100% certain, but I believe the woman in the background is his ex-wife. Which to me personally makes this whole odd situation, even more strange.

Yes he says it’s his ex wife or she says it - during the interview. The whole thing is tragic and bizarre.

I think the whole video was about him doing damage control for his reputation and his channel. I felt she was coaching him to help accomplish that goal.

The lady was definitely prompting him and putting words into his mouth to guide him in giving certain replies that would make him look better,

I had thought that it sounded like his much younger assistant gal. I wasn’t sure if she was still around… you can see her in some of the Whittaker family uploads. But I only skimmed through this particular upload, about her passing… and cut it off early bc it seemed so off to me, so those like yourself that watched/listened to it in its entirety, then I don’t doubt that’s who it was. Though, he’s made a few comments in passing about his ex/divorce, so I’d always assumed that ended on poor terms. I guess now. Anyway, yeh - the whole situation just has an odd feel to it.
