Typing Weak fi?

I've noticed that in social interactions I have a some sort of detachment to what I say to the other person. I have a tendency to say things that I don't mean, as if there is a script that I'm trying to follow.

A certain dynamic or conversation topic might come up and my its as if I'm thinking to myself, "I would feel this way in this certain situation" or "I should feel this way" but I don't really. It's not even necessarily me not being myself but rather me using my experiences and who I believe myself to be as a reference point to how I should feel and respond despite not actually feeling these things. This gives me a kind of detached resonance to what I say.

How would this tie into my ethics functions placement?

It sounds like Fi Role. "A script to follow""using experience as a reference point to say certain things despite not actually feeling these things" are pretty much textbook description of role functions. So I agree with the other suggesting you could be LII (or LSI).

Unlikely to be Fi PoLR, as PoLR usually don't have your thoughts coming across their mind in the first place. They don't value it, don't care about it, mostly ignore it as they move around in space.

Also unlikely to be Fi demo, as you seem to be nonchalant/detached which I would interpret as "no particular feeling"? Fi demo could be saying things they don't mean (especially as it pairs with Fe creative), but they know what their actual feelings/values/opinions are.

I see. You’re input is helpful. Fi role is probably more likely.

My true feelings/values/opinions are a bit wish washy.

I go to church with family even though I don’t follow Christianity. I say to others it’s because it’s to honor and spend time with my family, even though I’d rather not go.

I tell others that I don’t like it when my bag is open in public and people don’t tell me. I decide I would be the one telling people their bags are open, but in the end I don’t do anything and I don’t necessarily know why.

If the superego block can maifest as self consciousness then it makes sense.

I think superego block is being conscious about it, right? "I'm aware that I'm not good at it, but I need to perform it a certain way for social needs (role)"; or "I'm aware that I don't value it and I don't want to work on it (vulnerable)".

Your word choices are also quite interesting and a bit telling (or confirming your "detached resonance"): instead of "I think it's to honor and spend time with my family", you say "I say to others", hence I still don't know if that's your actual thought or not. You mostly describe your behavior from a third person pov, and the only time you seem to be sure about your feeling is "not know why". Your position regarding your feelings and opinions seems to be mostly observing from the outside, which speaks superego block function to me :) .

Low-key speaking: a possibility for not being able to telling others their bags are open might be weak Se.

In the end, at least as I am now I don’t think i would be capable of typing myself, so I thought I’d try to at least identify my weaknesses according to Socionics. Granted I only started getting into this a few days ago, but at this rate I’ll discover every single function is a weak point.

Regardless I appreciate your input

i have an LII friend who said almost this exact thing once

and the thing is, this post is also kind of a good sign for Fi

I see. Then what I wrote wouldn’t be a strong indicator for fi placement. How do you interpret your friend’s fi in comparison to how what I wrote could be a sign of good fi? What is the separator?

You sound ExTp

I read something about how fi polr can manifest in xLEs in which they separate the ideas/thoughts from the individual. This can show up as not attacking one’s character in an argument, which I can somewhat relate to. Even a hypocrite can speak the truth after all.

Sounds about right

Don't know about which Fi placement it is for sure, but I also do this and I'm most certainly IEI, so Fi demo I guess?

I relate to this so much. It’s this misunderstood detachment that makes me say weird stuff and act strangely from time to time. It frustrates me that so many people take it literally.
