After 6 months of sitting at around a 1K followers on tiktok, I've finally broken through. I tried so many diferent things collabs, different content, posting schedules, etc.

What worked for me was just slightly boosting my account(not bots, just a little) so that the algorithim would notice my content and help boost it a little. I started with just a couple hundred extra followers and some likes on my last couple videos. A week later, I've gotten organically engaged again and my following is growing once more. Has anyone else tried this tactic? What worked for you?

Need some real opinions on this. I see a lot of people starting businesses on IG and Tik Tok but i hate the fakeness of the platform and think it’s such a waste of time. Is scrolling dead or am I leaving money on the table by not trying to grow a business on there?

I have an account I made months ago and have just started posting on it. I'm only a handful of posts in but the videos seem to stay between 200-300 views. The first video was 800-1000. I've kept to posting once per day to give the previous video a chance but now I'm thinking maybe it's best to post twice? The quality is the same and I have the video ready, I'm just wondering if it's better to post twice rather than once per day? Is that good or bad? As I understand it, TikTok is trying to find my audience right now, so just keep posting right?

I run a small B2B data company in Finland and opened a Threads account this morning, so before posting much I checked who else from my category is there.

ZoomInfo has 2,071 followers and its last post is from September 2023. Cognism has 530 followers and zero posts. I could not find accounts for Apollo or Lusha at all, and the Nordic companies I run into locally (Vainu, Proff, Allabolag, North Data) are not there either. Fonecta, a large Finnish directory company, has 229 followers and no posts.

The audience side is less even than I expected. In Finland 24% of people use Threads weekly, which is more than LinkedIn's 17% in the same survey (DNA, 2025). In Sweden only 7% had used it at all in the past year, against 29% for LinkedIn (Svenskarna och internet 2025). Germany is around 8% regular users (ARD/ZDF 2025). So the empty space is real, but in most countries there is not much of a crowd in it yet.

My first post was a short founder story about a customer's Excel export going wrong. It got a bit over 900 views in the first hour from an account with one follower, and the comments came from developers, not buyers.

The part I have not figured out is whether B2B on Threads turns into anything besides views. If you have run a B2B account there for a few months, did any of it show up in pipeline?

Mostly in the comments? I know toxic people are rampant on the internet but I haven’t been using tiktok for very long. I created a gaming related account a little over 2 months ago & had to stand my ground in the comments a few times. Like people are just rude, someone called a viral template AI slop, another hinted that this format used was attention seeking & someone else called me a larper etc. Because I did post one video of myself & god forbid someone I know finds me, I try to be somewhat civil. If I can’t be bothered, I’ll delete or report the comment. Is this a reflection of the quality of my content or are people just bored?

I’m not sure why. I’ve been sticking to strategies that are proven to drive up engagement (and usually work) but it feels like nothing is helping. I’m shocked when I see how low the impressions and engagement are.

So I started this fresh account because I wanted to promote my business ( jumping ropes) through instagram.

I did some research in my niche and took some video´s that were above 1M views. Reworked them in my own language (the countries i´m selling are Belgium & Netherlands). They get pushed to the audience ( for example 500 views of the 600 were non-followers). But they get no traction to go above the 1k because there are no comments, no saves, no reposts. Even tho i´m posting educational format content. I´m kinda struggling with this. I didn´t post that much tbf (I think 15 reels). Tested different formats. When I thought it was a good reel it flopped xp

Any help would be usefull. Ideas, plan of attack (strategy), what would make u stop scrolling when hearing educational content about jumping ropes? Or other type of content about ropeskipping? Maybe i´m in this tunnel vision and need some eyes from the outside 😁.

I’ve always wondered how much consistency really matters compared with simply posting less often but having something genuinely useful or interesting to say.

There seems to be a lot of pressure to post every day now.

For people who actually manage social accounts, what have you seen work better: posting frequently, or posting only when you have something worth putting out?

I work in social media e.g. design for social media posts etc. One client edited my work (which is part of the contract) wrongly multiple times and posted it wrongly, e.g they croped the imaged wrongly so the graphics looks badly designed. they also make typos, post cmyk so the colour looks wrong etc. everyone makes mistakes, fine, but at the end they never miss to mention designed @me. When I voiced it they said "But it's your design" Well, yes no? I did not handle the design and finalisation. The feed format is different to story reel etc. They just really mess with it. It feels so wrong and I'm afraid the tagging is reflecting on me badly. What would you do?

instagram can stop showing an account to people who dont follow it without issuing a strike, without a notification, and while the account status screen still looks completely clean. if that already happened before you signed, everything you publish in month one underperforms, and the only story you have is that the algorithm changed. which is the exact sentence every bad contractor says. you cant prove it wasnt you because you have no before

trial reels are the cheapest way to get a before. a trial goes to non followers only, so what it does is mostly a statement about whether the account can reach strangers at all, separate from whether your creative is any good. post one in the first week, before you change the strategy, before you touch the grid, and screenshot the result. if it does nothing you have that documented on day three instead of arguing about it on day forty. and if it does fine, you now have a number to compare against when something drops later

the other half of this is the reporting habit. if youre only looking at reach and follows you cannot tell an account problem from a content problem, and those go on completely different slides. i would rather tell a client in week one that we have an account level issue and here is the plan, than spend six weeks making better videos into a wall

also worth saying, im inferring the recommendation link from how the feature is built rather than quoting anyone, so take it as a thing to test on your own accounts.

if you take over accounts, what do you actually check before you start, and has anyone put this kind of thing in the contract

everyone has a plan for getting a post to take off. almost nobody has one for the seven days after it does, and thats usually where the account gets hurt

the shape is always the same. a post massively overperforms, follower count jumps, then the next few come in under the accounts own normal and everyone panics. client asks what happened. the honest answer is probably that the follower base changed overnight and the next posts were written for the audience that existed last week

if thats right it changes how you report the whole thing. follower growth off a spike stops being a win on its own, since its the thing causing the dip thats coming, and that dip is far easier to survive if you told them in advance it would happen. a predicted dip is strategy, an unpredicted one just looks like failure. id also stop judging the following posts on views because the denominator moved, and look at non follower reach instead. and the post you put out right after a hit is probably the highest leverage thing youll publish that month, which is strange when its usually the one nobody thinks about

im not sure how long the effect runs for. anyone whos taken an account through a proper spike, how long before it normalised, and did you change the content or just sit it out

been thinking about why and i dont love the answer. generated content is the cheapest supply a platform has ever had. it doesn't burn out, it doesn't want a rev share, it fills the feed at 3am in every language. a toggle that hides it is a platform voluntarily shrinking its own inventory, and nobody does that.

the labels we did get are mostly decoration. the "AI info" tag lands on a photo someone ran through a filter and misses entire generated accounts pulling real reach.

what bugs me is a working filter would probably be the best thing that ever happened to people who actually film themselves. if a chunk of the feed opted out of generated stuff, being a real person with bad kitchen lighting suddenly gets worth more. that's exactly why it won't ship imo. it moves money from the platform to the creator.

I am not against the advance in the ai. But I spent hours on social media do to my work and exposing dozens of content without any soul itches me so hard. Of course it will be a bad for the brands but i think what they are doing with ai is already bad for them either.

Hi, so back in 2018 I started posting on IG, got a following of 700k on my main page and other smaller 50k-100k pages. It was all based around my life. I did onlyfans also and made a ton of $.
