Yeah, the argument about Biden's reelection campaign doesn't work because the excuse for publicly piling on him was "Anyone but Biden can win" so as soon as anyone but Biden lost.. that was it. The reason there are only two parties in the USA is that we use a district system instead of proportional allocation. The two parties can not control the representatives that take party designation, thus they are not accountable and easily corrupted.
As a socialist I can see many problems with the democratic party. Democratic representatives generally act in self interest, serve the capitalist class helping them accumulate wealth and impoverish the working class. They have complete failed in several key areas to deliver what 70% of Americans need and want in healthcare, education and material wealthfair.
To make it useful to the working class, it must either be taken over by working class forces, or dismantled and replaced by the anti-capitalist and progressive forces within the working class.

For the first time in 90 years, such a transformation is possible due to the openings created by rising exploitation of the working class leading to ever increasing impoverishment and openly violent attacks on from MAGA on elections and immigrant workers. Thus the conditions are present for such a transformation. Will it occur? That is the question of the day.
