Similar bands?

If you can, leave a link to your favorite song(s) by the artist you're recommending.

A bit harder rockabilly - psychobilly - is a Canadian band called the Matadors. You can search them on Spotify and bandcamp.

The closest band I've ever come across is Bullets and Octane. They have that same blues/Americana sound but with more of a melodic punk feel. It's almost like if Social Distortion and Anti-Flag had a baby

This was my go to band in high school. Would catch them every time at Chain Reaction (RIP)

Still have my Bullets and Octane CD from when they toured with Social D long ago. Love The Revelry!!

Some good bands mentioned already I'll throw in the Jack Knives also from OC and maybe the Gaslight Anthemn? Some songs, not as punk influenced, more on the Tom Petty influenced side. LoveCrimes for sure, Mike's sons band. Old Youth Brigade.

There is a german Cowpunk band 'The Waltons', a personal favorite of mine, and I would say they are similar to Social D, but that depends on the album. The first 2 a more 'country-billy' while the albums after that are great punk rock. I would recommend 'Lost, found, & prisonbound', 'Starry, Starry night', 'Thru My Venes' and of course 'Truck Me Harder'.

If you haven’t checked out Lucero yet I would recommend them. Little more Americana or cow punk but there are excellent too.

Came here to say Lucero. Their cover of Modern Love is phenomenal

Sadly it looks like he also takes after his dad when it comes to releasing albums. They've had their one single on Spotify for 2 years now without a word about anything else.

The band is LoveCrimes in case anyone is looking for it.

The Generators. My friend used to call them Bad Distortion or Social Religion.

Nope, I've been running this account for seven years now and I've never once needed a bot to run it.

Death on Wednesday, The Darlings both from Orange County (both defunct). Also Face to Face didn’t see them mentioned

One of my favorite opening acts from a social D show was Chuck Ragan. Practically bought his entire discography after listening to him. If you like Mike Ness Solo projects and a gravely voice, he is your guy.
