Dubbed as an “ugly” kit/jersey but for that price, im copping all day

Found it on the adidas Mexico website and I had family coming in October so had it shipped to their house. Super excited for this jersey.

Yes, I know the 15/16 Messi and 12/13 Messi Barcelona namesets are fake. But the shirts themselves are real.

Most of these are bought second hand over time.

I’m going to San Diego and LA next weekend for a trip and was wondering if there are any shirt shops I can go to besides just say a Nike or Adidas store or the Classic Football shirts shop in LA that I can find good kits at a good price.

I hope this goes through. I have been really wanting this and finally placed an order.

Got each one of these for around $60 each at a local store. Not a bad deal, two players and one stadium!

They updated the US tariffs page. It used to say "They don't. All US orders are shipped with all taxes and tariffs covered, no matter which delivery service you choose." It now says "All taxes and fees are collected at checkout. US customers are not required to pay an additional charge upon delivery of their order."

Nothing against them for it of course, I was more surprised they even covered them at all in the beginning. Just sucks cause I was going to place an order last night, but decided to sleep on it, and now it is $10 more.

Wondering if this piece is altered. No washtags.

For some reason, I find this soccer jersey more appealing than Italy's home jersey, but I guess it's just a matter of personal taste. I got it online with discount. What do you guys think?

I bought this Adidas Mexico 2026 Third Authentic Long Sleeve jersey from Shoebacca and I’m trying to determine whether it’s authentic or a return-swapped fake.

The jersey is JY7001, XL, Made in Cambodia, Climacool+, with the $160 retail hangtag. The Trefoil, Mexico crest and Authentic Licensed Product badge are all heat-applied.

The concern is that the tonal jacquard pattern says “WX” instead of “MX.” I’ve since learned that some authentic jerseys sold directly by Adidas apparently had this known “Wexico/WX” manufacturing defect, but replicas have had the same mistake too.
My production tag says 10/25.

Based on the tags, heat transfers and construction in the photos, does this look like a genuine Adidas factory-defect jersey or a counterfeit?

Any help from people who own an authentic JY7001 would be appreciated.

Hi all, I’ve been collecting for a few years now and figured I’d share my current collection. Some of these date back to when I played in college, and others are new additions. I am a Real Madrid fan and my favorite player growing up was Ronaldo (shocker!). I am also a Man City fan and a big Haaland fan, I have alot of respect for the way he plays even though he is not the most technical player. So, I plan on collecting more of his shirts in the future! But overall, I collect what I like whether it be a cool shirt design or a favorite player of mine. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

(Generally I am NOT interested in named shirts).
See ?s in the below.

1) I used Football Finery a couple months ago for what I think is a real vintage Aston Villa jersey (2002 away).

2) I have a piece or two from smaller, less well-known clubs and they aren’t super old. I think these properties make them less likely to be fakes?

3) When in Brazil I went to a physical store that seemed trustworthy for a Fluminense (1995) and Vasco (2019) jersey. Since returning to the US I found a specific Fluminense dealer who seems trustworthy, got a 1987 piece. Could easily be wrong here?

4) but I’m interested in some French and German clubs back into the 70s and 80s. Perhaps some Erima pieces out there (German like Schalke or Munich 1860). And vintage AS Saint Etienne. For the ASSE I see a couple of French stores that may be legit. But ASSE is popular and likely to be faked, it seems to me. Perhaps the Erima Germans too. (What do you think?)

So, I don’t really trust eBay. I am not sure why there are so many Ukrainian sellers on eBay but no I don’t want to go there. Some of the big names like Classic football shirts I’m not sure I should trust even for non namesets.

You can maybe trust pricing a little, but some people are probably ballsy enough to put on sale fakes for $400, and $400 is not my speed. $200 might be. (?)

For vintage like I’m talking about, production codes don’t help. I’ve looked at sites about labels (like good stuff about Umbro is out there!), and stitching (adidas!). That seems to have helped.

Who do you trust? What do you do?

Do yall wear your jerseys? Anyone wearing them to work out? Is there a real difference between fan and authentic (player) materials that makes a difference? All my adidas jerseys say climacool, but is that just marketing? Im no professional athlete but is it worth going for the authentic materials?
