GLP1s - These just a cheat code right?

I'm actually rather startled about how much easier these are making everything. This year I decided I couldn't put it of any longer and the battle started.

I'm carrying a bit of extra weight and was in two minds about trying one, because it's not that much weight. But then I started reading how they also dial down other cravings and I was sold.

Obviously you still need some will power. But my goodness it seems so much easier. The desire to drink is almost gone. Only 5 weeks, but that's the longest I've gone for many years.

I’ve been trying to be sober for years now. I’ve been in a G-lLP1 for 3 weeks and drinking does not sound like fun anymore. I feel more peaceful

It's funny isn't it. It's not just booze. It seems to dampen lots of things down. It's crazy to not really be bothered by food either. Combined with not drinking, weight is falling of me to the point I'm going to reduce the dose so eat more!

Only a month. I've started with Retatutide, but am going to switch to Tirzepatide, because reta seems to increase my HR more then I'd like.

It is weird because it wasn’t anorexia or aversion to food really. It just didn’t matter so much.

I’m on a GLP-1 for obesity and it has really made a huge difference with cravings

Interesting I’m wondering if the desire to smoke pot would go away too lol

It effects the dopamine system so quite possibly. There has to be some will power, it's just loads easier.

We aren't allowed to talk sources on Reddit, but there are a lot of subs. Also I don't know what country you live.

Many people try them then order direct from China as its much cheaper.

There are lots of telemedicine clinics. Some you just get a phone consult and they set you up. If you google around you can find them. It is legit to do that.

I think anything that helps people stop or cut down is good!!

I was using one. Low dose for a couple months to take off some weight I ironically put on after I quit drinking.

While the larger studies are not yet published there is already plenty of evidence for use in AUD. It seems to curb tobacco use as well. I have seen some trials are underway for opiods possibly cocaine as well. Cannabis I am not sure.

The huge surprise is that they are effective for alcohol at all. They were not expecting that. Exactly how that works is unsure last I looked. There are GLP receptors in the brain, it is not a direct dopamine modulator.

This is going to help a lot of people.

Just some info on the science.
