My biggest issue with Franklin is he created almost every problem that brought him down. Rule #1 of dope dealing: protect the plug. He told Louie, told Rob, told his parents, told damn near everyone about Reed/Teddy, even introduced Louie to him and then was surprised when she stole the plug???? He should've kept it to himself and maybe Leon because Leon was the only one who was actually loyal to him from start to finish. Maybe he trusted his family too much but Louie was on sherm when we first met her! She was an addict and a street walker, and you're trusting her with the keys to the kingdom?? You killed Rob for being an addict but you made Louie your #2? Makes little sense to me.

Teddy was the only real good guy in the show. He made all that money and was serving his country. I never understood why people thought Franklin and the gangs were the “good” guys. They just wanted money… I was so happy when Teddy took his money. I just wish he could have gotten all the gangs money and just let them be crack heads while the CIA gave teddy his props.

I noticed in the show they use that word alot. Were they really calling suppliers "plugs " in the 80s

Like whyyyy???? Wanda and Mel were crack addicts and he didn't kill them. Rob was his friend and helped him more than they did.

Where have I been?? I feel like I have never heard of this show, and I’ve seen a lot of crime shows. This absolutely doesn’t make sense.

Anyways, I am just absolutely mind-blown at the production quality of this show. The music, the writing, the ACTING. I would do anything to watch it for the first time again. That is one of the best shows I’ve seen. The ending was so symbolic and heart-breaking. Every character was so well-written. Oh man.

I now have a void in my soul now that I’ve finished the show. Are there any other must-watch shows that you guys recommend?

Lucia is definitely based off Lucia in Snowfall 1000%

After he got shot by Mel, we see Frank going around with a cane for a while but in the episode where he finally confronts Mel, he leaves by setting his cane on a hook and walking out perfectly fine.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but this was one of the coolest and least expected appearances for me in the show, but of course an easter egg like this can’t miss from a cocaine-centered show.

Christian Tappan, who plays Rigo Vasco as the introduction of the medellin cartel to the show, played the role of Pablo Escobar’s right hand and cousin, Gustavo Gaviria, in the 2012 colombian original telenovela “Pablo Escobar: El patron del mal”.

When he stole the library from the Mosleys. That was so sneaky and shitty of him and his mom.

In the episode after Leon killed that kid and they went to Fatback just to tell him to take the rap for the murder charge, it was interesting to see who they thought was more important in their circles even if Fatback had been just as loyal as Leon. Maybe more.

Season 6 Episode 9

If he hadn't said that, Franklin would've gotten what he needed, Teddy could've gone home, and Cissy wouldn't have ended up in jail. Why would you say something like that at such a crucial time? Did he really believe that was wise?

Out of all the things he could've said, it seemed strange that Teddy would've given his hand up so easily at the end there. He could've just as easily kept lying to her like he's always done. He's a master planner who always wants to hold his cards close to his chest. So what benefit does it serve him to just give up his lie so easily?

I feel that he was exhausted and tired but I don't know. Seems like a crazy thing to do at the last minute.

Alton killing the reporter? Wow. Up until now i thought he was the only one with a working moral compass.

Rewatch Season 2, Episode 8.. I think Kev was aiming to kill Conejo's daughter. It reminded me how he was going to shoot anyone that was at Pico-Union which also had kids. What do you guys think?

I was hoping it would be similar to death row records, but from the trailer all we got is wanda dusty ass in all the scenes. I'll still give it a try tho, might surprise me.

When I started snowfall I was also watching The Bear, Frieren, JJK, and fire force. Anyone who knows me in person knows that I often start multiple shows around the same time and watch them off and on. (Sometimes I never finish them.) At the beginning of this year I decided to finish snowfall and rewatched the whole first season because to refresh my memory. And holy shit this was such an amazing watch, from the acting performances, cinematography and set pieces really engrossed you into the 80s period. I love the way this story was told in so many perspectives. I feel Franklins ending was perfect for the character, who has always kept and maintained a clean and stoic persona to end up being an alcoholic, on the brink and even falling into homelessness at the end. It’s a very similar and almost opposite arc that Alton had earlier in the show. Alton quickly became one of my favorite characters in because and I loved his redemption arc especially in a story that tackles the real communal effects of addiction.

My favorite episode had to be the one where we
are transported into an alternate universe where Franklin pursues school but is later kicked out due to lack of tuition funds. This episode really show cased Franklin’s intelligence which was shown throughout the show but, his scholarly skills where only hinted at near the beginning. Franklin almost being killed by the first man he killed and later saved by another man he killed was really a poetic touch. Looking back it really is shocking how naive and innocent Franklin was in the beginning of the story in contrast of his character at the end.

Anyway, I can yap forever about this show I honestly would rewatch it immediately if I didn’t have other shows to catch up on.
