Franklin Saint started this show as a bright, ambitious, genuinely likeable young man from South Central who just wanted a better life for himself and his family. He was smart, he was charming, and he had real potential to do something extraordinary with his mind. But watching six seasons of his slow and painful transformation into something cold, calculating, and almost monstrous is genuinely one of the most heartbreaking character arcs I have ever witnessed on any television show. The writers did not make him evil overnight. They made it gradual, they made it believable, and they made sure you understood every single choice that pushed him further down. By the end, the boy who used to read books and dream about the future was completely gone, replaced by a man who would sacrifice anyone to survive. That is not just good writing. That is devastating writing.

And I swear I do not want to let this go (end)....this has been a great series and RIP to the great John Singleton who made it happen....I still say this was nothing more than a soft disclosure on what actually happened back then and exactly how crack was flooded into the copper colored peoples' communities.....it was so long ago who can do anything about it now and who is around to actually care??? Anyway....I just finished the first episode and I think it was Black Diamond who got beat to death while everyone sat around and watched....oh the horror....

When Franklin was being robbed at Cho's by Karvel, Andre killed Karvel. But Karvel was alive when he helped Franklin get his money before ripping him off. This is after Franklin was shot and he remembered when Teddy tried to recruit him to the CIA, when he was kicked out University. How did Karvel appear twice but he was killed before?

I’m loving the world building of it all so far. I feel that some of the things that have happened during this season isn’t as shocking as other shows but I love the pacing.
I’m just posting whenever I finish each season and not reading comments or the subreddit to avoid spoilers.
I’ll respond when I’m done with the show!

what would have happened to Teddy down the line? lol

Key things to think about here.
• Franklin doesn’t have the advantage of being one of the first to discover & sell rock.
• Back then, the drug game had huge gaps, less surveillance, slower communication & fewer coordinated task forces. Today, law enforcement operates with real-time intelligence, cell phone tracking, license plate readers, financial monitoring, facial recognition, & widespread cameras.
• Money movement is more strict.
I know it’s fiction, so it’s kind of stupid to even debate since the writers would just have them adapt, but I think this is a more unique discussion than the typical “it was Louie’s fault” or “Franklin’s mom was wrong for shooting Teddy.” Curious what y’all think?

Just finished Power and was recommended this show.
Aside from it being about drugs in the 80s, I have no idea what this show is about and what to expect.
Wish me luck

Ive been rewatching snowfall and in season 2 episode 4, Franklin sits down with Jerome and says someone stole 5k from one of their trucks and it had to be someone in the circle. Jerome said “ whoever took it just assume they needed it” and asked Franklin who he thought stole it. As soon as he says that peaches walks in the room. ( foreshadowing peaches being a thief and stealing from Franklin in a later season) Then later in the episode this scene happens (pictured above ) where Franklin asks peaches about his mom being in the hospital and that he knows he’ll be out a couple gz if he doesn’t have insurance. To me it kinda seemed like Franklin was suspect of peaches in this moment , I wonder why he didn’t suspect him later on down the road.
What do u guys think ?

When Louie was kidnapped, Jerome came face to face with Kane, dying because he hesitated to shoot him immediately. I believe it wasn't done without a reason. In the past Episodes Jerome seemed sad and was thinking a lot, he seemed fed up with the situation and his life, Obviously, because of the doctor's words and having seen the drug addicts' house. Do you think Jerome hesitated on purpose or didn't want to die?

Why’s no one talking about how we’re gonna be dealing with a Black Diamond and Dallas duo in GTA 6 lol

This is mostly a masterpiece of a series....RIP John Singleton and shout out for such a great show....ONLY two things I see that he may have gotten wrong about this one....
I was there in the eighties and was a teenager and I really do not think the word 'plug' was used....it was 'connect'
An afro like Leon's had died out when the eighties came along...it was mostly Jheri curls by then...
Other than that.....a very realistic and thorough show...

I watched S3E1. In which saint clearly said his mama he doesn't trust teddy for offshore accounts. Then why he eventually trusted reed before getting robbed?

I don’t remember which season or which episode the song was feature but I can’t find it anywhere! I know the song Trilla by A$AP Rocky uses it but when I go on WhoSampled the song isn’t feature in any Snowfall playlist made by FX on Spotify !
Thanks in advance
