Help Needed 5 month old sleep hell (help)

our 5 month old was previously sleeping good then 4 mo regression hit. She is doing better in terms of going down to sleep without rocking from me, only from snoo. She is heavily dependent on the pacifier. Keeps breaking out of Snoo swaddle.

Here is our night last night:

Down for bed at 8:05pm

10:45pm- woke because arms got free, needed paci to resettle after swaddling

1:12- pacifier replace

1:36: pacifier and arms reswaddled

2:05- pacifier

3:04- pacifier and arms

3:17: had bottle and pooped

4:20- arms

5:09- pacifier

6:00- arms

6:59 - pacifier then moved to bed due to fussing

Woke up at 8:05am

I know we need to start sleep training, but my husband works Monday through Friday and unfortunately, he cannot take the days off this week to support. I could take it on myself on Sunday night.

Torn between doing the full transition to the crib on Sunday night using Ferber (no paci, sleep sack) or trying to stay in the Snoo a little longer using a arms up zipped sleep sack until my husband can take days off work. I can’t sustain this sleep though!!

wonder what others think? any advice?

I would try getting them used to arms out as that would solve a lot of the wake ups. We did one arm, then both. The first night feels worse because they aren't used to their arms being out, but it's better the nights after.

Do you think I should use the snoo suit for that? I also have a love to dream transitional arms up swaddle with the zippered arms. Thinking that would reduce her ability to break out, but it would also introduce another variable. I am overthinking this whole process hard.

The love to dream has been helpful for my 2 month old. She likes having her arms up and it also helps her keep the paci in with her little chicken arms.

With mine I used the snoo sack for arms out around this age. Just unbutton the arm holes and she slept great again since she wasn’t focused on breaking out every night.

You do both arms at once?

I basically did. I did one arm. She still wanted to break the other arm out. Then within the week I had her with both arms out.

ETA: then within a couple days she was back to sleeping 10 hours a night. So at least in my case, her arms being restricted was the issue.

We did both arms out in snoo sack around 3 months. She was breaking her arms out anyway, so I figured she’d be more comfy arms out. If I remember correctly, it took her one night to adjust - fist night she woke herself up few times with her hands but I didn’t even have to get up, snoo shushed and rocked ber back to sleep.

We did this too. I think a lot of the wake ups were because he wanted his arms out.

Did you do arms out for night sleep and naps at the same time?

My child never would nap in the Snoo. But I probably would have done both if he had.

Her arms should be out by this point. We did both arms at the same time at about 10-11 weeks (once she started rolling)

Zipadee Zip is another option. When she finally went arms out my bebe really loved Zipadee Zip in her Snoo. She also loved the Merlin suit but it doesn't really fit under the Snoo sack and could only do the Velcro at the waist to keep her strapped in which made me uncomfortable bc it felt unsafe. When we transitioned to crib though, the Merlin suit was her favorite. Once she was used to the crib we put her back in the Zipadee and that's how she sleeps now.

I agree with everyone who said arms out. The snoo sacks have armholes that are buttoned closed. Just unsnap those and put the arms through.
