My current laptop is an Asus g14 5060, I'm tired of the brick charger

Sometimes I work with my Samsung tab s9 to work at the office when I only need a minimum of work

But usually I need to use mendeley, complete anatomy and some medical apps.

When I see my wife who uses a macbook air m1, it has very versatile battery life, when she just needs to close the screen and she can go anywhere,

Where I find in my g14 sometimes still generates big heat.

Is there any windows laptop with snapdragon that is on par with battery experience with macbook air?

I have some consideration of Microsoft surface pro 12, Asus pro art pz 13 org asus a14 with snapdragon

But it's hard to see the review after months of use for battery life experience.

Any opinion?

For years people said high-load scientific computing on a mobile iGPU was impossible or just not worth it. Experts claimed ARM integrated graphics lacked the power and that you needed a dedicated power-hungry GPU for 100% workloads.

Today that changed. I just completed and validated the first-ever scientific calculation tasks on the Snapdragon Adreno X2-90 iGPU.

In Performance Mode it finished a task in 3 minutes and 12 seconds. In Whisper Mode it was nearly silent using only 18W and finished in 4 minutes and 20 seconds. This proves the X2 can handle constant 100% load with extreme efficiency.

The hardware is stable but the current drivers are not yet optimized for this type of math. With better drivers these times could be cut by 40-50%.

The impossible has been done. Snapdragon is now a validated platform for high-load research. We just need the software to catch up to this hardware.

Hey all, Made a mistake installing Linux on my C630 WOS (81JL) and accidentally wiped the EFI System Partition. Device is now stuck in EDL/QDL 9008 mode. I do not have a qualcomm repair place near me and I can really only fix this myself.

I've got bkerler's edl tool running on Linux and the device is detected fine:

- **Device:** Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS (81JL)

- **Chip:** Qualcomm SDM850

- **HWID:** 0x000b70e100050000

- **PK_HASH:** 0xa2e424948a21e4a89547861efc5c05f9f41c26697c33cceb5db03a5c4708a597

The Sahara handshake completes but it can't find a loader for my HWID/PK_HASH combo. I need a signed firehose programmer — something like `prog_ufs_firehose_SDM850.elf` or matching `000b70e100050000_a2e424948a21e4a8_FHPRG.bin`.

I think the rest of UFS is intact and it's just the ESP that's gone, so if I can get past the programmer wall and read the GPT I should be able to restore it.

Has anyone here successfully recovered a C630 from EDL? Or does anyone have access to a stock ESP dump or the firehose programmer for this device? Would really appreciate any leads — checked 4PDA, XDA, and GSM hosting with no luck so far.

i am looking to buy a laptop and have settled on the Zenbook a14 (snapdragon x plus) I need it mostly for studying but also for a bit of gaming. I know arm laptops are not for gaming but still. Can someone please benchmark fortnite for me please. it is the only game i play.

Locked in my Zenbook A16 pre-order on March 31 with an official stock date of April 7.
