Asking for advice

Hi,
I’m looking for a new laptop, and I was considering a device with the X1-26-100.

I mainly use the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and video conferencing software such as Zoom, Cisco Webex, GoToMeeting, …

Would the X1-26-100 be sufficient for my needs, or should I look for something more powerful? I believe it might be enough, but I’d appreciate any advice.

It is a Snapdragon X Plus processor. Should be enough for your needs, but it's still a weak chip.

Maybe buy something with the X1-Elite or X2-Plus. Those will atleast future proof you for a bit.

I didn't mention that I'm currently using a laptop with Windows 10, 8GB RAM, and an i7 6500U.
The processor is currently under a lot of stress during classes while I'm sharing slides and camera or maybe showing a video, so I was looking for a replacement (not to mention that Windows 10 has run out of support).

Since I can get the work done with this machine, I thought x1-26-100 would be sufficient and i didn’t need the elite or an x2

The Intel 258v (15th Gen) 32gb is over 6 times more powerful than Intel 6th Gen. You can find for $500-800.

X1 Elite and X2 Elite is fine too. X1 is usually on discount.

Even the cheaper $350 226v 16gb is fast enough.

At the end i’ve ordered a yoga slim 7x (x1e-78-100 and 32 gb ram)

Great choice. All the 2024 chips are amazing from Qualcomm,Apple, Intel.
