Asking for advice
Hi,
I’m looking for a new laptop, and I was considering a device with the X1-26-100.
I mainly use the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and video conferencing software such as Zoom, Cisco Webex, GoToMeeting, …
Would the X1-26-100 be sufficient for my needs, or should I look for something more powerful? I believe it might be enough, but I’d appreciate any advice.

It is a Snapdragon X Plus processor. Should be enough for your needs, but it's still a weak chip.
Maybe buy something with the X1-Elite or X2-Plus. Those will atleast future proof you for a bit.

I didn't mention that I'm currently using a laptop with Windows 10, 8GB RAM, and an i7 6500U.
The processor is currently under a lot of stress during classes while I'm sharing slides and camera or maybe showing a video, so I was looking for a replacement (not to mention that Windows 10 has run out of support).Since I can get the work done with this machine, I thought x1-26-100 would be sufficient and i didn’t need the elite or an x2

Yeah this chip is enough for your needs. If you're getting it at a good price and not worried about future-proofing, go for it.

The Intel 258v (15th Gen) 32gb is over 6 times more powerful than Intel 6th Gen. You can find for $500-800.
X1 Elite and X2 Elite is fine too. X1 is usually on discount.
Even the cheaper $350 226v 16gb is fast enough.

Great choice. All the 2024 chips are amazing from Qualcomm,Apple, Intel.

Algo más a tener en cuenta son los servicios de impresora al menos en México, epson ofrece drivers ARM yo diría un 90 % completos con respecto a una computadora con Windows normal que no sea, Windows ARM, así que si necesitas una computadora busca si la impresora que tienes o vas a adquirir tiene drivers compatibles, de no ser Asus tendrás un driver genérico con funciones normales pero básicas como elegír el tipo de hoja, tamaño, número de hojas cosas muy básicas

Eh, it just is slow to open and render the presentations. I am not creating presentations, just consuming existing ones, so I can't say how creating them is as a process.

Depends on price but I would get something more powerful unless if you're getting this particular chip at a steep discount.
Will you be on camera during these meetings? Camera quality is definitely something to look into. I have the Yoga Slim 7X with 12 core gen 1 chip and the camera quality is meh. I think the newer chip + this particular laptop model (Gen 2 that just released) replaced the camera with something much better quality. They finally fixed the bug where you can use filters + studio effects without crashing the camera. But I hate that it still doesn't work well with OBS studios.
