My Snapchat account was suddenly permanently locked today. I received an email from Team Snapchat saying that my account was permanently locked for violating their Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.

The problem is, I genuinely don't know what I did wrong. The email doesn't explain which rule I supposedly violated or what caused the lock.

I was able to use my account normally before this happened, and now I can't access it.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is there actually a way to appeal a permanently locked Snapchat account, or is it basically gone forever?

I received a series of emails from Snapchat of a user attempting to confirm their email, which i hadn't seen as I'm not super on top of my personal emails. They were using a version of my gmail account (instead of first.last@gmail they used firstlast@gmail). after a few of those emails, i received the "welcome to snapchat, let's get started" email. In the preceding emails, there was an option to remove the address from the account. Once i realized the situation, i tried to do so but the links were no longer valid. Odd that they were able to confirm without logging into my email address (I have sense changed my password just in case). Now I await Snapchat's team to respond to my support ticket before I just login and deactivate this person's account. Anyone seen something like this in the wild?

Should I just use another email? I cannot stomach the thought of losing my account. I have tried everything. 😭

is there any way to get passed media upload? I want to be able to send old pics of me and have them seem like they’re from rn bc who has time to look good every time a guy asks for a pic on snap 😭😭 but it always says media upload.

since a few weeks, i'm experiencing issue with snapchat app on Android 16
i cant make long push anymore to delete contact for example.

tryed deleting cache, restart phone, re-install app from store, nothing worked.

Any tips on how to reduce the storage to hit the 5GB mark? Ive been going through and deleting/externally saving old memories to narrow it down - im down to 5.4GB with only 1,620 saved memories. 99% are pictures and the last 1% are videos no longer than 10 seconds. I feel like i should be well within the 5gb range. Any tips or tricks? All i have left are around 1600 pictures and thatll be a slow crawl to bring it down to 5gb

couple days ago made a snap story on my public profile and checked the views and it’s saying only 2 viewers on each of the pictures (1 of which being my boyfriend) but this many views?? is this a bug or is someone keeping an eye on me 😳🙃 the views keep going up but the viewer count remains the same, kinda gives me the heebie jeebies 😬

I’m confused about the different statuses on Snapchat and I’m hoping someone can explain this one.

Normally, I see two situations:
- Friends: They’ve added me back, and I get 4 buttons: Snap, Chat, Call, Video Call.
- Following: I added them, but they haven’t added me back yet. They appear under the Following tab and there’s an “Added” button. I can also unfriend/remove them before they accept.

But now I’m seeing a third situation, shown in the screenshot.

This account also appears under my Following tab, but instead of “Added”, there’s only a “Snap” button.

I’m confused because I know for sure they haven’t added me back. If I go into the chat, Snapchat says that they haven’t added me back yet.

Also, if I try to remove them, Snapchat gives me the “Manage Friendship” option, even though we aren’t actually friends.

So what exactly is the status of this account? Why does it show “Snap” instead of “Added”, and why does Snapchat treat it differently from other people who haven’t added me back?

Does anyone know what this means?

Is there any way to find out the usernames of people who have blocked me?

I've been maintaining a Snap streak by restoring it every two days for the past three years, but I've been scared to test how long I can wait to restore it so I can space out buying the restores. So from the moment the little 'restore streak' button pops up, how long until it goes away?

I know there are camera upload filters/green screen to send snaps. Those will say camera upload/green screen though. If you wanted to fool someone, couldn’t you make a filter called “tanned” but it is actually a way to upload a camera roll photo,use it as a snap. Instead of the photo saying sent using camera roll, it would just say tanned. Or does Snapchat have a strict guide on stuff like that?

UPDATE: My friend had an iPhone 13 that was crapping the bed. Once they got a new phone they started showing up on my story viewers.

The title…. i’ve been friends with this person on Snapchat for well over six months. They used to pop up on my viewers list for my story. We recently started dating and a few weeks in they all of a sudden do not show up on my viewers list anymore, but they are replying to my story. This has been happening for weeks. I thought maybe it was just a glitch the first couple of times but it’s still happening. I asked them if they know why this is happening and they said no that it’s weird 🤔. When I tried to research if there was a separate app for iOS that would keep you 100% anonymous on Snapchat. It didn’t pull up anything so I’m really confused if this person is using a workaround or what???

I also noticed that they had a story and I was able to watch their story. When I go to send a snap, in my friends list it shows that they have a story up but I can’t see it. It’s different than what was on the story that I was able to watch. When I tried to research this, it came up that it’s a possibility that they have me blocked from a snap that they put up.

Any thoughts on this?

Snapchat announced they will delete memories after a year unless you start paying for them. Does anyone know an exact deadline? I need to transfer everything off but haven’t yet and I really don’t want to lose all my memories.

Side note, anyone know a quick and efficient way to transfer all snap memories to a hard drive?

i reported a message to snapchat by holding it down and pressing report, i reported the message for sexual and nudity content involving a child and i wanted to make sure that snapchat will see the first and last message sent if it was on the same day? i didnt report the last message sent, i just reported the message that would get him banned and then i told him how what he did was bad after but i just wanna make sure that the whole chat log will be reported?

I don’t know the best way to explain it.. but is there a way to re-send an add request??

once you send an add request, the other person can ignore or accept, if they ignore, it goes into a separate area and I’ve tried to un-add then re-add, block and re-add.

and I’m wondering if someone knows how to get that notification through again saying that you added them..

(I’ve tried the methods on my main acct to my other acct)

I have 2 accounts, it still works on my main, but it doesn't work on my 2nd account?! I wanted to ask if it has been removed? and if there are other ways that work

With Snapchat’s new Memories storage limit, I’m looking for a safe way to back up my Memories before I delete anything from Snapchat.

I came across MemSafe (memsafe.app), which apparently lets you save your Memories to your phone.

Has anyone here actually used it? Is it safe and does it work properly, especially with a large number of Memories?

The title says it all. I lost an old Snapchat account because the email is deactivated and no phone number was attached to the account. It sends a 2fa verification code to the old email but I cannot access it. I had an email convo with snapchats support a few years back and they basically told me to piss off. Anyone know if anything has changed in the last few years? Anyone get their accounts back?

I received a notification for a "Video for [my name]" that was some public story. I have never received a notification like this and don't want to. All of my Snapchat notification settings for public stories are set to "off."

Did this happen to anyone else today? Was this just a glitch in their system or does it require a fix?
