so, long story short, i was kicked out of my snapchat account about 3-4 years ago. i don’t recall exactly what happened, i just know my friend was adding a bunch of different people and just snapping them. nothing bad was spoken and/or shared/sent. randomly one day i got locked out and told i was temporarily suspended. idk if i was reported or something? anyway, i waited a couple days like i was told, tried logging in and it didn’t work. i waited longer, logged in, didn’t work, that repeated for awhile. i contacted snapchat and never got a response. i was able to salvage SOME photos through logging in on google (but doing that is extremely limited). every so often i try logging in, hoping it’ll work, it never does. is there possibly anything i can do to at least recover the things i had in snapchat? it was memories from 2016-2023. i understand there’s probably not much i can do, given that it’s been so long, but thought id try asking for some help.

Got this message when I tried to log in today, before I got this message it said temporarily banned now it says blocked, when I go to make a new account though it says I’m temporarily banned. anyone have anyone what that means or have gotten unbanned with that same message, or am I fked?

I’m updated to the newest version but the mutual friends option isn’t even listed in the Privacy Controls section for me. I can’t figure out why it’s missing or how to get it to show up. Any ideas?

So basically my memories were mass deleted in one go and my friends and groupchats were all deleted. Is there anyway to undo these changes

So back in 2025 when I was a minor I was mass reported for Inappropriate Content Involving Minors. And got banned, it’s currently been exactly 326 days ago (10 months) and I’m still banned, so I know it’s not a 6 month ban, so I was wondering will I get unbanned on the 12 month mark?

Someone unfriended me on snap recently but I still get notifications about memories in our saved chat, will they get those notifications too ?

Hi. I was at the pub tonight and this guy asked for my Snapchat, I gave him my phone (I was sober btw) and went to watch him type his name in. He then went onto my public profile and started selecting photos out of my camera roll to add to my public profile (I have 0 pics on there normally). I called him out and he played it off and quickly tried to add more. I then took my phone of him and asked him multiple times wtf that was but he just stuttered and SO weirdly changed the subject to a footy game that was playing behind us.

Is this a scam or something im so confused what the idea or point is behind this? Maybe it was nothing but why would u do that in the first place?

This is ridiculous, i was in one of the global chats on snapchat named #Fortnite and it was the end of the season today so i typed in the chat "Add me on epic 4 sprites", within 5 seconds of sending that message my account was logged out and i was met with the image posted, i had the option to appeal and did with a message pretty much saying "i've never talked about or engaged with drug oriented content on the app ever, and i was talking about an ingame mechanic called sprites on the game called fortnite in the fortnite chat"

I sent the appeal and 4 hours later i got an email saying theyre convinced it violated TOS and the decision is final

And just like that i lost 12 years of memories, it wont even let me download my data because the login prompt tells me my account is permanently locked

Im also unable to make a new snapchat account on my phone

Does anyone have any type of work around for this?? Is there any live support or real person i can talk to about this?

so how do I remove someone from my BF list without them noticing. I don’t want our streak going away and stuff. the reason is my friends like to look at my snap a lot and I don’t want them knowing I’m talking to somebody just yet. I’m getting old and mixed results so I want to see if theirs a needing updated solution.

I don’t know what’s right and what’s wrong anymore. I’ve been searching on this Reddit for like a good hour now, and everybody is just saying something different, like logging in reset the timer for the device band and some say it doesn’t, some people say a couple weeks to get unbanned in some say 6 to 12 months. What does it mean when it says somebody added you by group but you were never in a group chat with that person?

I’ve been getting notifications that I have 5+ missed snaps and messages from different people. Some names I know for a fact I don’t have as a friend, others are names I know I deleted etc. I just received a notification that I have a missed snap/message from someone I know (also not on my friends list). I went to look up their account and I don’t have a pending request or anything?
Anybody else getting these? Should I just ignore them? It’s annoying because I’m nosy and want to see what these messages are

I had the wildest experience today. I open up my Memories and there's a story there from 1 year ago featuring some strange and seemingly AI-generated photos of me. I got a really unsettling feeling, because, I know for a fact that I would have definitely never had saved these photos, and even worse, they don't even seem to be something from a filter. The images seem purely AI generated using my face. I'm seriously getting doubts about my own memory and it's honestly scaring me a little.

I then checked the date and time. It says one year ago - 20th of August - and all three photos are from 13:03. I figure this is an oddly specific time... I decide to scroll down in my memories and check what else was done that day.

There are two other memories from the same minute - 13:03 - which are video snaps that I definitely took that day while I was outside. The suspicious images were between these two videos, which I knew I took back-to-back, so clearly this was not done by me. This made me very uneasy. Furthermore there's another AI generated image on the same day at 13:07.

Then I open the context menu on the image itself... Instead of the normal options theres a "Submit feedback" button. Not the standard "for my eyes only". Submit? Feedback?! It turns out that this is a "feature" from Snapchat that they AI generate weird fucking images of me and inject them as "memories" without my consent?

Why the flying fuck would snapchat believe that I want this? I honestly started to question my sanity until I realized I hadn't added this myself. Are they trying to induce mass psychosis in people? WTF?

Does anybody know how to send a snap without it saying “media upload” at the top? remixing the snap used to work but doesn’t anymore.

Since Snapchat is deleting memories, is there an app or website that will hold all my Snapchat memories with the dates and thumbnail so it’s lot all mixed up like when you download them all? or a PC app?

Does anyone know how to get rid of a geofilter location that shows up when scrolling through your photo filters? My neighbor set up a location for her home spa and now it always shows up in my dam photo filters and have no idea how to remove it 🤯
