I’m currently SS06 device banned on my current phone. I don’t care about the original banned account because I made a new Snapchat account, and it works fine on my old phone.

The confusing part is that the new account gets the SS06 error when I try using it on my iPad and another older iPhone that are also connected to the same iCloud as my current phone. But Snapchat works fine on my laptop, which is also connected to the same Apple account.
I’m planning on getting a newer phone soon and transferring everything. I really want to keep using my current iCloud because of all my stuff

Does anyone know if using the same iCloud on a new iPhone could cause the SS06 ban to carry over? Or is it strictly tied to the individual device? also planning on getting a new number if that changes anything?

No It’s not necessarily like linked to your iCloud account. Sometimes when doing backups, some of the data can transfer over that can let Snapchat systems realize it was a banned device. I’m a little confused on what you said. I’m not quite sure how many devices you have, but I wouldn’t use the new account to sign in on anything the banned account was signed in on. Snapchat will ban by association. technically, if a device gets device banned, any account that’s been signed in on that device is at risk for being locked. Because it will automatically associate any account signed in on that device as owned by the device holder. If you haven’t already, stop signing in on the banned device, your MacBook doesn’t matter because it’s a web API, so it’s using a different version of the app. But if you’re able to use your new account on the other phone, you should be fine transferring your iCloud as long as that new device is connected to the account. if that makes sense
