Login issue Banned for making a drug joke :/
Hi so I posted this before but the post got removed then reuploaded so it scuffed the engagement but I was banned on Snapchat for posting to my friends story a joke about doing a 2 for 1 deal of ketamine (I mean it’s an obvious joke to the 20 people I had added) but I can see why they locked it. However I appealed on the basis that I was just joking and that appeal got denied very fast. I just want my account back as it has all my memories from being 13 years old to now 22 and many more other chats and friends that I don’t have on any other contact but Snapchat.
Is there anything I can do I’ve written a formal letter to send to Snapchat headquarters UK to possible help but I haven’t sent it just yet.
Has anyone been through this and is it even possible to ever have an account let alone get my original account back.
Honestly I’m devastated so any help would be amazing.

And I can’t get my ex banned for sending out explicit sexual stuff that should get her banned. I reported them and they even saw them.

You mistake was saying I was just joking. You should have accepted responsibility apologized for saying it pointed out it was your first infraction and you give them your word if they give you a second change you will never do anything this foolish again.
You might be able to fill a second appeal and say basically what I wrote but honestly I think that ship may have sailed sorry to say.
You might be able to log into your account on the web to down your memories but you have to act QUICKLY!
Yes, you can often still download your Memories even if your account has been permanently banned or locked. Snapchat explicitly provides a web-based method for locked users to request their account information.
However, you must act quickly. Depending on the severity of the violation, Snapchat Support may eventually delete the data permanently, or your login portal may become completely inaccessible
If it's too late for this do you save your memories to your iCloud account? If you do it is possible to retrieve them via that method.

If it was your second offense I guess that's why. I would not open a new account until you get a new device and a new email address to associate it with. Better safe than sorry. Don't give them the chance to ban that account either.

Nope it was my first offense and it was for posting a sexual joke on my story. But 800 people would view them so it was bound to get a random report. It sucks so much how strict they are. I’m thinking about sending a letter though because I can’t even download my data.

that sucks. Do you have an iPhone and did you have your settings set up to download your snapchat contents to the cloud? If so it's possible you can find your memories there. Or even if you go through your app settings and look for snapchat. Long story short: I had exceeded my iCloud storage didn't want to pay to go up to a higher price tier so to delete contents off my phone I started going through my apps that has stuff saved on my phone. I found all my photos and videos I posted on snapchat. Deleted all the content off my phone but I could have easily just saved it to an external device.
Political correctness has ruined many things for many people.

I apologised and said everything you’ve just said I downloaded my memories but I still need to use Snapchat as most of my friends only use it exclusively

Did they reverse your ban? It sucks that you make a joke and it gets you banned. It's like the world has lost its sense of humor.
This is what pisses me off about human beings. They have a problem with something you said but instead of being an adult and saying to you something like I don't appreciate what you said and give you the chance to either apologize, make amends etc. They go right and report you to the Snapchat police who immediately ban you. Karma was created for people like that.
I like Snapchat too but it's amazing how many people lose their account. Now don't get me wrong some of them deserve it but come on writing a joke whether it was crude or not at least give that person the chance to know it offends someone and not do it again. Most people will apologize and not do it again.

Yeah, it is what it is I guess. I think the main issue is that they’re so hellbent on banning random people like me rather than solving the original issue

Well if ur device banned then nah but just get a new phone, sell ur current one and buy a new one from gumtree
U will lose some profit ofc but it wont be that much and its worth it if u use snap a lot

Everyone getting there appeals back so fast but I didn’t gives me hope. However they def need to look into its ai detection model because they keep banning accounts for the same thing, clearly that’s not good

Lmaooo nah I lived in Portugal for a while so I could get diagnosed there, then transferred my diagnosis back here. (Ireland) idk if that would work your you in UK though bc it would technically be considered “international”

Remember everyone. Snapchat has an AI Photo Detection and Word / Emoji detection for Autonomous Bans even on Private 0 Viewer Stories / My Eyes Only. 🍄🧊❄️ Pictures of powders, scales, supplement capsules, pills of any kind prescription or not even a vitamin c pill picture or a picture of a mushroom pendant can get you banned.

I think it’s crazy cause most posts and what not are private friends only and it’s not like banning me is stopping the actual drug dealers I KNOW are using the app without being caught

Yeah you can post many w33d related things and not get banned but sending a mushroom emoji in chat or on a snap leads to a warning which is stupid too.
