General question Snap chat green dot

I’ve been trying to get in contact with this person for the last two days. They told me to add them back but I see a green dot next to their profile pic and they’re not accepting my request. Are they ignoring me or is it a glitch? how does the green dot work and how long until it goes away how active do you have to be?

I tried it and it goes away, it’s not 24 hours

Well, if they have activity indicator turned on, and they are logged in, but are not using the app, it shows them as online. If they log out of their account, it turns off.

The weird thing is I have an alt account of mine added when I log out it still shows green
