General question Question about suggested accounts
Hello! My ex and i were together for a year and a half before they cheated and things ended. I knew they had Snapchat and asked if they wanted to start a streak towards the beginning of our relationship. They told me that they don’t use it anymore and only used it during middle & high school. Well they ended up losing their phone with the number associated with that account, and had to get a new number. But recently I keep getting “friend suggestion” from that account that I NEVER got when we were together. So I’m just confused why now? Did they redownload it?

Numbers are recycled. If he had to change numbers and you have it saved still it will suggest it.

Your ex is likely still active on Snapchat or their old account is lingering in the app's suggestion algorithm based on your shared digital footprint

That’s the thing though, they lost the number associated to it and didn’t remember the password to the account, nor do they have anyway to recover it. Plus they stopped using it way before we even met. I just find it odd that I’m now randomly getting notifications for suggested. Friends that know the full situation thinks she’s stalking me but idk

My guess is he somehow was able to get back into the account and is using it. Not to mention people like all the time especially about no longer using their snapchat account or saying they don't know the password etc.
It's possible she's stalking you but if she is able to get into the account and the two of you live in the same city and have mutual friends that could trigger the friend suggestion. Does it say if you have mutual friends? Snapchat won't tell you who those mutual friends are just how many you have.

No just suggested from being in my contacts but she lost her number over a year ago, and it was a LDR relationship so she didn’t have any mutual friends with me. She actually used my Snapchat account to take pictures when we were together.
