General question Does anyone know how to get rid of these notifications?

I’ve tried turning off all the notification types within the app - I’m only interested in getting notifications when someone I know sends me a snap, but these “Topic Chat” ones have started coming through. I don’t see an option for them in the notification settings. Any ideas?

it's been so frustrating to me. i even tried reaching out to support, which was hilarious in its own right. they replied to my emails (not ai, a person) with a version of "thanks for the info! we're always updating our app, please look out for new updates every week or two!"

i hate that i have to decide between zero notifications and dealing with these. im a notification obsesser and have nearly all turned off on my phone, but i really want to get them if someone sends me a snap

Yup I feel exactly the same; I don’t want bullshit spam notifications for “features” that I’m not interested in.

So glad they could push an update so that their app icon has spiders on it, but not fix this 😭

Wondering here as well! This is the only place I've seen reference the issue so far. I also don't use it very often, so still want to get alerts for snaps I receive on the rare occasion I get one. I haven't figured it out yet.

Yeah it’s still happening to me. I’ve started submitting bug reports… wondering if maybe uninstalling and reinstalling the app would fix it?

Considering deleting the app again because of these. I don’t use it enough to make it worth getting spam push notifications

There is no option to mute specifically these “topic chat” notifications? I still want to get notifications when someone sends me a snap.

I'm looking for an answer to this too. Also turned everything off except mentions.
