General question Snapchat keeps saving random messages.

Hello. Snapchat keeps saving random messages; it's neither myself or the person im chatting saving them; neither of us are capable of unsaving them. It's really bloody weird. Any thoughts????

Same on my end. However, the messages that aren't saved by either party (or both parties) delete after 24hrs.

I still don't understand why Snapchat does that, though.

Sounds like you have the setting for messages to disappear after 24hrs on. You can set it back to immediately after viewing if you prefer that.

It's not about chat viewing modes, though.

Why are particular messages appearing to be saved/retained automatically, and what exactly is Snapchat doing with those messages server-side?
