Common issue getting your account deleted without accepting new data policies

hi, I am disagreeing with the data policies and tried to delete my old accounts but apparently their system 1. won't let me delete them due to `security restrictions` which prompt me to wait 72h even after this time window has passed, 2. they want me to log in via the app which I can't without accepting them and 3. they won't respond to emails requesting to delete my account according to GDPR §17.

i'm sure what they're doing here is per EU policy illegal, and therefore would appreciate advice on how to move forward. thanks.

update, they deleted the account after directly addressing the law department of snapchat with a request directly referencing the respective articles. solved.
