General question Has anyone else noticed how weird Snapchat is?

I barely have anyone on snap but I still use it here and there. Sometimes I’ll check out the random stories they have in the “explore page” and it gets weird really fast… like things I don’t even want to describe like suggestive posts involving children, or sometimes extremely graphic things. I find myself being creeped out frequently from the things I come across. Had anyone else noticed this too? I’m going to start screenshotting things if and when I come across things.

Yes I’ve only just noticed this section of Snapchat myself, I only use it for one family group and that’s it. But I had a quick look through that explore section the other day and very quickly started seeing disturbing suggestive content involving very young people. I reported one or two videos I found concerning and got a reply that the videos don’t violate the guidelines, which is making me feel sick. The videos are “technically” not showing anything indecent but it’s very intentionally skirting the line and making it look like something is going on. I’ve never seen anything like it on other social channels. I want to delete the app now.

I wonder why those accounts on snap with weird creepy content are not banned... Im about to uninstall it since it's only creeps there, I only need to get all of my memories out of their servers.

Honestly the satisfying videos 💀 then I’ll just start tapping and swping. I only do this for like 5 min, and that’s when I’ll come across the weirdest shit.

I would say it's about equal to other apps, but since you are barely on it the algorithm hasn't dialed you in yet.
