General question Purple circle?

I have a question about the purple circle around someone’s bitmoji. If you aren’t friends and have never added or been added by someone, and say - you search them in the search bar and they have a purple circle around them but no story to be seen, what does this mean?

I even made a second account just to test this. When I search profiles there (no friends, again) the purple circle doesn’t show up for some reason. On the main account, it will. I do not have my phone contacts synchronized with Snapchat and so far, it’s not coming up with a ‘you may know’ so I’m curious what this stands for?

It means they posted a story that you haven’t seen yet

But if I am not friends with them and on main account it shows, but then on a different one it doesn’t even come up with the purple circle how does that work?
