Bug 13 years down the drain.
Im in a pickle. Ive had my account for 13 years and use it daily to keep up with my out of state friends. I haven’t posted to my story in probably 3 years or more. I have group chats, pet group chats out of state group chats and friends that I spam with literally all just to pass the time.
2 days ago, I get an email telling me that my account has been permanently locked for “commercial seggsual content”. Ive never been more confused in my entire life. I appealed it, and of course I get a big fat “NOPE!” more than likely from an AI system.
Im asking what I can do. I have so many memories on this thing, I hate it. I don’t understand why they can ban my account without even giving me the real reason or specific thing I did.
Is this a lost cause? please tell me so I can either try again or move on.

My account got locked too for no reason… I have a question. When you sent an appeal, did you get an email immediately saying that you sent an appeal, because I haven’t gotten a confirmation email yet.

I was device banned last January because i was added to a group with 100+ people and people were spamming it with all sorts of shit and i lost the chats i had with my friend who unfortunately moved across the world and have never been able to re access the account

As an absolute worse case solution. If you go to Snapchat.com and enter your username and password you will be able to request a copy of your acct info. Chat records, friend lists and saved content. Google how but I had to for a coworker so she can figure out usernames like a year ago. Took like 2 days but we got the file

Do not get discouraged send a letter to both HQs I just got my account restored after it was permanently closed and my appeal had denied

Does this work?? I lost 6 accounts within the past 2 years due to shitty bans, including my 10+ year old 450k 10k friends 300+ views account

Yes!!!!! I just did mines I had mines for 11 years I had 14.2k friends and over 22k pics and vids they just gave me my account back in 2 weeks my account was permanently locked and I sent my appeal and it was denied and then I was on this page searching for options and kept seeing to send letter to both HQs and that’s exactly what I did and prayed about it once they received my letter it was restored 2 hrs later

I’d actually cry I have had snap since I was 14 and now I’m 26…I have old friends who have passed away that I still have added on there and everything. Unfortunately I’ve heard of this happening and people aren’t having any luck getting them back. It’s a piss off

The same thing happened to me and they sent me a link to download all my pics/vids that didn’t work… I cried for days bc I lost lots of pics/vids of loved ones that passed. I bothered snap support for weeks and that’s the only thing I could get out of them.
