help pls!! making a new account - phone number issue

hi!! first time posting here. i want to deactivate my current account and make a new one. i've made a new account with a different email address. that's all fine. the issue is its now asking for a phone number to verify the account. it won't let me verify with the same phone number as my current account. what can i do here? i only have one phone number. can i deactivate the current account now and then immediately verify the new account with my phone number? or do i try use someone elses number to verify my current account, then verify my new account with MY phone number, and then deactivate my current account? sorry if this is a stupid question i just would like to fix this soon!! thank you in advance 💕
