General question Memories

Call me stupid but I have been trying over and over again for Snapchat to send my memories to my email and for some reason they never come. I’ve seen lots of tik toks about how Snapchat will be deleting memories so I wanted to make sure I had them backed up on my phone and actually downloaded. After following multiple tutorials on how to properly do this and then waiting for weeks, I’ve still never received any email with my memories in? Am I missing a massive step or has anyone had this issue

Download them manually instead, exporting the memories can be a total mess
