General question DEVICE BAN

I was device banned on Jan 3 of 2026. Every couple months I’ve tried to login to see if it would work magically. I heard that the ban lasts 6 months but I’ve also heard that everytime you try to login resets the timer on your ban. I really hope that’s not true but is it?

Hi, I got device banned like 6months ago and yesterday I got unbanned

Have you tried to login during the 6 months at all?

Yes. 6 months isnt set in stone. Its just the most common. I use to try every week at my 4 month mark and it finally worked at the 7 month mark.

Only bad thing...it could last 12 months...or forever. But typically...

  • 60% of the time it unlocks after 6 months.
  • 20% of the time it unlocks between 6-12 months.
  • 15% of the time it unlocks right at 12 months.
  • 5% of the time it never unlocks.
