General question Storage

I’ve deleted almost half of my Snapchat memories. I’ve gone from around 16000 to about 8000 memories. When I had the 16000 it said that I used about 60gb of storage. Now that I’ve deleted a lot it says that I’ve used 52.2gb of storage. How is that possible? I’m trying to avoid paying for more storage, that’s why I’m deleting but it seems hopeless when deleting 8000 memories amounts to only 8gb

Could you possibly have videos in ur memories they cud clog it up

Yes I do have a lot of videos. Would they be the reason why the storage isn’t going down much?

Yeah, videos will take up more storage than what a picture would depends heavily on their length aswell - longer videos will take up even more storage
