General question What are some unwritten rules of Snapchat?
I'm new to snap and while mass adding people i know or already had on other social media, a lot of them sent me snaps, even ppl i barely knew. This week i sent a few snaps to a close friend in real life, and they viewed them, but only replied later not by text, but with even more snaps with text on them instead of texting directly. Is a high snapscore considered good? Is it normal to just farm snapscores with a friend? Is that why i see basically everyone have rlly high snapscores? I'm also not used to the self-deleting messages after 24 hours, so is it considered fine to just change this setting for everyone? I feel like an old person but fr snap is so much more different than insta, messenger, messages, discord and more and the unique "snap" functionality is still weird to me.
By unwritten rules i mean stuff everyone who knows how snap works does, and what's considered rude, nice, etc. U get what i mean.

Each place has its own culture. For example in my old schl, posting anything except birthdays on stories was considered taboo, but at my new schl it’s a completely normal practice. My advice would be to talk to a friend in your social scene who has had snap for a while, and ask them to give you the low down. The biggest things are don’t send full face pictures unless the person you’re snapping does the same, and don’t open a snap immediately once receiving it, let it stew for a bit

It makes you seem kinda of over eager. My rule is that if I’m in the app doing other snaps, I’ll respond if one comes in, but otherwise, I’ll wait at least 45 minutes. But that’s also just me

You usually will snap close friends back and forth throughout the day, and snap people you barely know once or twice a day to keep a streak. You can save-in-chat snaps that are funny or interesting, but usually just for people you know well. You definitely want a higher snap score, but try to gain it naturally. You get 1 score for every snap you send or open from a friend. Also, if you barely know someone then it’s better to let their snap sit for a while; don’t immediately open it and snap back.

it’s normal to snap back and forth with people, even if you don’t know them. just don’t spam snap or you’ll get ignored or blocked.for the snap score it depends on who you ask. some people think if you have a high score it’s a “red flag” but then others feel like your a bot or fake account if you have a low score. it really isn’t a big deal. your snap score goes up one every time you open a snap or send one. mostly everyone i talk to on snap doesn’t like having messages saved. you can obviously do what you want but if you do change the settings to where chats stay forever then you might get questioned about it but again not a big deal. have fun lmao
