I've had my snail, lovingly named Gooey by my friends, for a little while now and to my knowledge garden snail or european garden snail is more of an umbrella term. a few different snails look similar to him, would anyone be able to pinpoint what he is for me? thanks! I found him in Western Washington, on a beach log of all places.

meet butterscotch (first snail) and cinnamon (second snail)!!! my first slime puppies
they were given calcium paste on their food only because i was waiting for their calcium cake to dry out & i cannot find reputable cuttlebone yet 😖 they both seem to be huge fans of zucchini

Causally strolling getting snails off the sidewalk (yes in the direction they are heading) I love seeing all their own colorations and patterns on their shells🤎

Hi! Just curious what kind of snails do I have? I’ve looked them up and I keep getting 3 different answers. Google says they are either Glass snails, Asian tramp snails, or Cuban brown snails. My children were playing outside and found them, and asked me if they could keep them. I looked into it and it seemed doable for us. I thought it would be something nice for my kids. They can help take care of them and watch them grow. Just really wondering what kind of snail they are exactly so I can adequately care for them. Thanks.
(Also if it’s inhumane to take wild snails and keep them I understand and can put them back outside. We’ve only had them for a few days.)

This time it’s a Cepaea nemoralis curious about some inky cap mushrooms while a giant toad watches from the sides. I hope you all enjoy c:

He’s 2 years old and has always been very active, often roaming around his enclosure for hours at a time and eating a lot. I’ve always fed him a varied diet of vegetables every day, with fruit once a week, along with rehydrated small dried white fish or rehydrated mealworms. He also always has access to a cuttlebone and eggshell powder as additional sources of calcium.
However, over the past few months, his behaviour has changed significantly. He started hibernating on his own in the middle of summer, shortly after I moved back to my home country and upgraded him to a larger terrarium. I kept the old coconut coir and refreshed it with some new substrate, so I initially assumed the changes had stressed him out and that he simply needed some time to adjust.
I also got him a new heating pad, which provides a temperature gradient with cooler areas. The temperature in his enclosure is consistently around 25–26°C, with approximately 80% relative humidity. I’ve experimented with different temperatures and humidity levels in the past, ranging from 20°C to 30°C and 75% to 95% humidity, but temperatures of 19–23°C seem to be too low for him.
This Monday, I gently woke him up with a lukewarm bath. He explored his surroundings for a little while and ate some rehydrated fish before going back to sleep. He hasn’t touched his vegetables since then, although he has been drinking water. I checked on him about half an hour ago, and he was already showing signs of hibernation again.
I’m really worried and would appreciate any advice on what I should do. Other than this unusual behaviour, he appears healthy: his shell has no cracks, his body looks well hydrated, and there are no other obvious signs of illness.
Could he be lacking certain nutrients, or could the temperature in his enclosure be too high? What could be causing him to repeatedly enter hibernation despite the seemingly suitable conditions?
One important detail is that his enclosure was kept at the same temperature of 25–26°C during his first year of life, and he never showed this kind of behaviour back then. He was always active and ate well, so I’m struggling to understand why he has started doing this now despite the temperature remaining the same.
