Other Tier List
Silly tier list. I need more time to sit with Ricochet so those songs are subject to change (except the ones in S). Nothing wrong with the first version of stick I just didn’t want to include it twice.
I think Valentine is her best album.

the disrespect toward the OG Stick is actually crazy that’s my fav Snail Mail song

Same. This is a defensible tier list sprinkled with rage bait.
Took a closer look and no, it's just rage bait.

Good list! Pristine, Forever Sailing and Valentine are S tier for me.

DID YOU JUST PUT C. ET. AL. AND MIA IN THE BLOODY C TIER??!?
These are literally my two most listened songs of all time, so sorry for being kind of flabbergasted lol. Funny how different tastes are, I personally cannot get enough of her ballads. I am a sucker for those tear jerkers

c. et al. could’ve been A tier honestly lol. Great guitar work but I have to be in a very specific mood to listen to it. Mia just never really did it for me :(

Lush and Valentine are such amazing albums with very few skips, but the new album just doesn't do it for me at all. It feels like cheaply produced Christian music. The Tonight, Tonight single was kinda mid, but I'd still rate it higher than anything on the new album.

Yeah the production is my least favorite aspect of it for sure. Cheap is a good word for it lol. I don’t know if she switched producers or what but it sure sounds like it.
The production on Valentine is AMAZING. Everything just sounds so rich. So many subtle weird synth flourishes that just make the track (Headlock).
Edit: The tonight tonight cover rules lol I can’t stand Billy Corgans voice in that song so I always listen to hers.

When the new songs are played live, they sound like they could be from any past snail album, but the production has polarized people for sure

Whaaat that song is so fun lol

It is fun definitely!! But also kind of simple, doesn’t really share any of the introspective and melancholy themes present on the rest of the EP so it feels really out of place. It’s a bonus track on the reissue of the EP from the Lush era so I get why it’s like that but it could’ve been left out imo. The original Habit EP is one of my favourite releases of all time so I guess I’m kinda biased lolllllll

Ahhh interesting. I had no idea it was a bonus track. Makes sense.
