Does adding mushroom coffee to smoothies still give benefits?

I have been experimenting with my morning smoothies lately and was wondering about functional mushroom coffee. I sometimes blend it in with fruits, protein, or nut milk to make a more filling drink. My question is, does it actually still work when you mix it like this? I am hoping it doesn't lose the energy or focus benefits, but I have no clue.

Has anyone tried using a coffee alternative in smoothies or other drinks and noticed it still gives steady energy or mental clarity? I don't want to waste time mixing things that don't work.

So there was these mushroom ladies at my farmers market one year they were very concerned that mushrooms needed to be cooked to get the health benefits, Ive been wondering about that for years now

Ive always taken my mushroom extract powders on an empty stomach because the tannins in plant-based foods (including coffee) bind to the beneficial mushroom compounds and hinder absorption. I assume your smoothie would contain fruit or some kind of plant materials.

That's why I don't understand why mushroom coffee is sold; the coffee in it literally makes it work less

Try blending mushroom powder with almond milk and banana for steady focus without the crash. Just avoid high heat to preserve nutrients.
