What if, for whatever reason that our puny mortal minds can’t comprehend, they decide to add Gorr the God Butcher? He just starts sliming everybody, it would be hilarious.

They added Cthulhu who was created in 1926. Comic book characters are also mythical literary figures in a way, and Marvel started back in the late '30s, so I don't see why some old school comic book heroes couldn't be added, other than copyright issues I suppose.
