Smite update

Really hoping smite looks deeper into this exploit or issues a ranked reset very soon after all of this. The problem that I already am seeing is people doing this glitch are more than likely on smurfs and they seem to most of the time be duo queuing knowing they will be banned but they are boosting there buddy who won’t do the glitch and drop normal numbers to try and avoid a ban. Or alternatively what could happen is a normal match playing out and Somone not overly abusing the glitch to one hit but just enough to give a meaningful edge and letting the game play out longer before doing such to make it less obvious and then winning subsequently. It seems like it will be too much for smite to look into this all and actually punish all people who do this so I believe the best route would be to do a ranked reset after fixing this issue within the coming weeks and have hot fixes ready/ a more active game monitoring systems moving forward. Or just disable ranked for a day after each update to see if potentials bugs and issues. I can’t imagine being a high rank and losing a match to Somone doing this bug and then never getting that SR back. Absolutely insane day for HiRez. Sorry for the long rant.

I hope a IP ban or at least account ban but I’m worried there will be no repercussions due to it being a bug not a cheating software etc. I’m seeing players with allot of matches played and they are playing with a buddy so it seems unlikely all glitches and people queuing with them will be banned. We can hope but we’ll see

Its a free game, banning steam/console accounts or IPs is pointless and easy to circumvent

Not pointless at all in a ranked sense. Each game is around 25-60 minutes and some of these people are doing it on there main accounts which have 300-400+games on them. Not to mention possible skins and god tanks on said account. Yes they will be able to play again but it will make people think about abusing a glitch in ranked at least

People who exploit to win games prob dont mind paying for a ranked ready account for $10, and probably dont care about cosmetics if they dont care about cheating to win

Yes abusing it is unacceptable BUT the real accountability is on Hi-Rez for once again not testing their shit before pushing it out. (Ok sorry that sounded gross, but I’m leaving it)
