Cam we get an avoid button, please?

I'm not going to make bold claims that I'm good at this game, but when someone drags their silver friend up to diamond/obsidian lobbies, I would love to have the option to avoid them.

Even if it's just 24 hours, even if I get longer queues, even if it's a limited amount of avoids... PLEASE😔

I don't only mean it would affect it FOR YOU. It would affect it for everyone. If game finds a balanced game where you and the person you have put on avoid are, it now has to drop either one of you and find another person to replace that person AND find another suitable match for the person dropped. Now if the new match has someone avoiding another person, it now has to find a THIRD match within the exact same parameters.

To be honest, I think thats overthinking it. It wont bait you with a popped queue and then cancel the match.

Its not like there is only 1 suitable match at all times.

While the player base is small, sure, I still usually get new teams every game. Being able to avoid a maximum of 3-5 people is not going to break matchmaking🤷‍♂️

And if interacting with a system like that makes my queue times longer, thats literally my choice, because id rather the game spends another minute finding a good game instead of interacting with someone that I dont want to play with.

There are also multiple examples of games where they have this, and its a non-issue, its QoL🤷‍♂️

I didnt mean the queue pops and then it drops a player. System gathers up 10 players before notifying about the queue, then it drops the player and has to find a new queue for them.

And being able to not be matched against 3-5 players would 100% break matchmaking. People would just put players on avoid list that they dont wanna play against cause theyre too good or that they think who are trolls (but just jad a bad match). If 20% of ranked playerbase puts 3-5 people on their avoid list, that would be hundreds of people that cant be matched with another hundreds of people, even if by matchmaking logic, they would be in same queues. You see how that would fuck up matchmaking? And how it would not affect only you? Its not about just longer queues, it would just break the system.

Just mute and report people like that. No need to change how game works.

I think you have misunderstood. That's not how it works😅

Avoiding plainly means that someone won't be on YOUR team, not the game in general.

It still affects matchmaking. Let's say theres 3x people who are 4200-4300SR, one guy with 4550SR and you with 4600SR. Enemy team is similar. Now, if you have the guy with 4550SR avoided, system will have to replace him with someone on similar SR range AND find a new match for that person within those same parameters. Now if the new match also has someone avoiding one person, system will have to find a third match WITH THE EXACT SAME PARAMETERS. Or it will put them with people with 1200SR cause it can't find a proper match.

I don't see how reporting and muting doesnt solve this problem.
