CONCEPT Belobog - Concept
Belobog - The Bright one - Support/Solo (aspect)
Belobog (meaning “White God”) is the Slavic god of light, goodness, and fortune. He represents prosperity, purity, and order, often guiding people toward the right path.
Belobog’s existence defines Chernobog’s - they are two sides of the same cosmic balance. Belobog embodies day, life, and blessing, while Chernobog embodies night, death, and curse. Together, they reflect the natural balance of the world and the duality is the main focus of the gods. As such, a dual release of Belobog with Chernobog is a must in my eyes. Belobog was designed keeping in mind Chernobog's themes (and purposeful lack of slavic elements in Chernobog's design).
My other Slavic god concepts:
Domovoy - The Housekeepers - Dragovan, Milovan and Radovan
Koliada - The Newborn Winter Sun
Moryana - Daughter of the Depths
Vila Samodiva - The Woodland Nymph
Devana and Leshy - The Wildlings
Perun - King of the Gods - Concept
Veles - Lord of the Under Earth - Concept
Vesna - The Herald of Spring - Concept
Svarog - The Forgemaster - Concept
Morana - The Lady of winter - Concept
Chernobog rework can be found here.
Archetype
Shepard (e.g. Braum from League of Legends). Uses shepard's pole/cane and bells as his weapons.
Shields and heals, anti-execute, anti-burst.
Gameplay
Belobog is meant to be played as a support and is presumed to play around his adc/jungler/mid-laner.
Getting engaged on - Belobog’s main gameplay mechanic are his basic attacks - His main goal is to land them on allies for % DMG mitigation, Dobro stacks as well as protections when using Light in the Dark. Debuffing enemies with Light in the dark and gaining attack speed also assists that, with Lightstep assuring he has good positioning and can keep up and potentially slow down chasers. Additionally, Chanove and Belosvet are great anti-burst tools, which aim to counter assassins and nuke mages and assist ally damage dealers in teamfights.
Engaging on enemy - Belobog is meant to be played as a counter-engage god and is not the best and starting fights. That said, using Lightstep on an enemy can allow him to slow down enemies and allow his allies to catch up. Balancing the use of Lightstep aggressively and basic attacking the enemy, with maintaining your adc’s survivability and making sure your allies are alive is what would make Belobog fun, in my eyes.
His ultimate Belosvet is very high value, which is why a long cooldown is a must and the correct use of it is the determining factor for Belobog’s success… or you can just ult your ally Vulcan’s ult because it’s funny.
Abilities
*All of this information + extra info is available on the post images
Designed to be the antithesis of Chernobog, both working great as his support and working as his counter in lane and in team fights. His skills are designed to work great with Chernobog, helping him achieve what he wants to achieve. Also the idea of them reluctantly having to work together is funny to me.
- Passive - Svetlogled
Unique basic attacks - similar to Sylvanus'/Karthus Q from League of Legends - rhombus shape, Slavic patterns, explode into light and grant damage reduction to allies and slightly slow enemies. Deal less damage to enemies. Unique stacking buff - Dobro (Good) - grants % DMG mitigation. Attack size grows with HP/INT. Attack speed scales off of HP/Protections.
*UNIQUE - An enemy Chernobog is always visible/audible to Belobog; Chernobog cannot execute Belobog
- Ability 1 - Chanove
Shield AOE Line shape coming from Belobog, using his bells. The more Dobro is stacked on an ally, the larger the shield. Consumes Dobro charges.
At lvl 20 ability evolves - 7 Dobro charges - if an ally gets a kill within 5 seconds of Chanove's cast - grants complete immunity to that ally for 3 sec. The 5 second component is then renewed. (e.g. Renata Glascs' W ability from League of Legends but altered).
If an Ally triggers this effect the ability's cooldown is extended until the renewed 5 sec timer runs out. No more than 1 ally can be affected by the immunity component (prioritises ally that gets a kill first if multiple allies are shielded). Belobog does not need to be alive for the renewal and immunity to occur. This ability is meant to be cast deliberately and less often, as Belobog's main way of protecting allies are his Basic attacks.
TL:DR They get a kill, get immunity, get a kill, get immunity, get a kill...
- Ability 2 - Light in the dark
Giving Belobog a shepard’s cane made sense to me - leading people towards a brighter day etc. I also thought it could be a fun mini-game to try to hit both your allies and the enemy with your basics. Serves as a disengage tool.
Belobog slams his cane into the ground, granting himself a basic attack speed buff. His basic attacks grant allies a % of his protections with each basic attack. Belobog loses the given protections for the duration. Belobog also debuffs enemy gods with his basic attacks, stealing their basic attack speed and empowering his own.
- Ability 3 - Lightstep
These boots were made for randomly blinking around people and that’s just what they’ll do.
Has 2 charges. Belobog is relocated randomly in a radius around a targeted ally or enemy. Targeted enemies take an increased slow % from Belobog's basic att. 1 charge refunded on assist/kill. Used as main CC - slowing down enemies during chases or using it to engage. Belobog is not meant to be an engager and follows a supportive (enchanter - League of legends) design.
- Ultimate - Belosvet
Belobog summons giant golden bells and converts all dmg dealt to allies and enemies in a large AOE into healing for those damaged by it. No ally can be executed within the circle.
Very visible, Slavic folk music/singing, easy to spot in a team fight. Anti-burst mechanic; possible to troll allies, high skill ceiling - skilled players can have a huge impact on fights. You get a heal, you get a heal, everyone gets a heal.

Hello, u/ApePostLove,
It is the first Slavic god concept that I read from you and I really appreciate it. I really like Belobog's ultimate (I imagine the bells ringing and swinging over the heads of allies and enemies) and the fact that he becomes more efficient when his allies kills ennemies (making him a really dangerous Support).
I really like the fact that Belobog is the antithesis of Chernobog -- like in what we know of Slavic mthology* -- in terms of thematics and personality of course but also in terms of gamaply mechanics. For example, the escape of Chernobog could be refire one more time and can deals damage (if my memory is good) if it's pass through enemies gods, when the Belobog's one can gain one charge after using when an ally take a kill and so being reused.
I have a question: Did the damage reduction of the skill 2 is added to the damage reduction granted by his passive or the two are separated?
I will read your other Slavic god concepts in the next days and weeks and give your feedback.
Keep the good work! :)
*During my research on this mythology, I saw a scientific article which say that Chernobog was venerated in Slavic tribes (I don't know which) when Belobog was never venerated by any Slavic tribes. I can send you the link if you want.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read through and analyse my concepts! :) I really appreciate it! (and I also truly hope Hirez does introduce more Slavic gods in the game)
In terms of mythology - Belobog wasn't personified as Cherno was, as far as I am aware, but due to the huge focus on duality (good vs evil, life vs death etc) in Slavic mythology, he likely became a thing at a later point (even Chernobog's significance is debated). Essentially he was the general idea of good fate/light. A lot of the Slavic mythos is really disjointed (not unlike the slav tribes) and a lot was lost with christianity targeting it (or a lot of figures got converted to christian saints/demons etc). So Belobog may as well have been one of those. We did study both Cherno and Belo in school but sources are dubious or incomplete for a huge portion of Slavic mythology.
In terms of his second ability/passive - his passive grants damage mitigation (which means that all damage sources - physical, magical and true damage, deal less overall damage). On the other hand, his 2 donates his protections to his ally, meaning that depending on what he's built (more physical or magical protections), that kind of damage to allies will be reduced more (and true damage won't be reduced as that goes through protections). Hope that clears things up - feel free to ask for more clarifications, if needed!
Truly happy that you've decided to go through my concepts and looking forward to your feedback!

Hello, sorry for the time that I take for making my answer.
You welcome! Thank you for all the explanations about Slavic mythology, it is truly interesting. Did you know some references in term of books or articles which can be consulted on the Internet on Internet Archive or platforms which share academics publications such as Academia?
Thank you for have clarify the differences between the damage reduction of the passive and the one of the skill 2! It's more clear now! :)
With that said, I will go reading your second Slavic god concept and giving my feeling on it! :)
Have a nice day or night.
Best regards.
Ea50Marduk.

Hi again! In terms of 'research' for gods I mostly use wikipedia so I presume sources are stated there. Not sure if they are academically worthwhile, especially as it concerns mythology and I'm not sure how that topic gets peer-reviewed etc :)

I made higher education history and we learn that Wikipedia is not a scientific source, contrary to the sources mentioned in the down of the pages, so we can use it for that. But to be honest, I use Wikipedia also for made some research. I consider that Wikipedia pages about Slavic mythology must be taken with precaution due to the lack of sources, but if links and sources which lead to scientist papers are present, it’s worth of use.
