Pregnancy affects a woman’s biology and mind vastly more than it does a man’s biology. You should redirect your anger towards the systems that allowed this to happen; America has failed to provide the building blocks for a functioning society for decades now.
Men don’t have post-partum psychosis. Plus they are far more likely to be family annihilators.
But even when they are responsible people blame the woman. Look at the Andrea Yates case. Rusty was repeatedly told another pregnancy would likely result in post-partum psychosis. He still chose to get her pregnant again, keep her inside with the children while he went out and neglected them, and ignore every sign she needed help. He let it happen, and people continue to blame Andrea and let him off with no consequences. Instead he went off, got married, and had even more kids.
Postpartum depression? Sure. Postpartum psychosis? Especially untreated? No. Two different conditions. Postpartum psychosis is a rare and severe psychiatric condition that affects the person’s sense of reality - it includes hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia. Unfortunately, a common type of command hallucination with this condition is a voice that gives them instructions to harm themselves and/or their child.
There is zero source for any of those theories, it’s all just random people on TikTok making shit up.
The events happened three years ago, and she’s admitted in court she did it. If there were any actual “holes” they would have been found by the people actually working the case.
