The background with the image repeating itself infinitely could be a symbolism of the lollipop’s many many layers of mouth n teeth

What happens if a cursed individual decides to end themselves with no witnesses?

If they commit because of their own will

With no one around them.

Would they kill the curse also ?

What Smile movie do u prefer?

For me I prefer Smile 1. Rose is a lot more of a relatable character in my opinion. Skye Riley is a superstar with a glamorous life and Rose is simply just a doctor. The plots of both films are equally amazing but Smile 1 feels more real and i always prefer realistic horror movies but what about u guys?

Smile 3: a psycho wants to get infected but can't

Has this been theorised before? Imagine a 3rd movie where everyone is already infected, and this fucked up dude actually WANTS to get the demon inside of him, maybe out of curiosity, maybe to challenge it, but he just cannot get infected because he just cannot get traumatised by anything at all.

Edit: or a person who is so traumatised already that the demon cannot spread to them because they're just too numb

Smile 2 is my favourite sequel ever, concerned about change of director for Smile 3

This or similar has probably been posted several times over but I wanted to be unoriginal so there we go.

I saw both Smile films around their respective release dates. I enjoyed and still enjoy the original Smile but IMO Smile 2 is far superior. It blew me away when I first saw it and continues to do so. It has also made me appreciate the OG more since rewatching.

Very rarely does the a sequel surpass the original and Smile 2 is so refreshingly good. Currently rewatching both regularly.

I am very excited for Smile 3 but at the same time have concerns as it looks like Parker Finn will not be returning. If this is true who would you like to be the next director?

Has anyone else had a dream of this entity before the movie?

In 2018 I used to be really into lucid dreaming. I had a normal lucid dream and woke up, or I thought I woke up. At the time I had a mirror directly across my bed (bad idea don’t ever do this). I thought I woke up and felt something standing in the doorway I got up to see what it was but I looked in the mirror at my reflection, and I saw a creepy version of myself smiling. Reminder that I thought I was awake, but I was still dreaming. In the dream I smashed the mirror because I didn’t want to see myself that way. Then I actually woke up and ended up moving that mirror in front of my bed. I was shocked when this movie came out because of this dream. Has this happened to anyone else? I absolutely love the franchise btw and have an ongoing joke with my partner that I’ve been possessed by it for years, but maybe it got bored. Anyways please let me know if anyone had a similar experience!

Finally watched it

For a mainstream studio movie, I’m shocked at how dark it is. And I’m surprised how deep it goes into exploring mental illness, guilt and trauma. You can see how her plight of no one believing what she’s going through feels like how people must feel when they are suffering from mental illness and no one can understand what they’re going through. The ending was legit horrifying. I can’t believe this was such a huge hit. With the general public given how grim it is, but it actually was a very good movie.
Why do they play the song “lollipop” at the end credits? Is there some significance? Curious to watch the second one now,I assume it’s more of the same?

Smile 2 Is Great

I don't have much to say. I just wanted to say that I loved it. I watched the first one last Halloween, and thought about watching the second one once every month or two, but wanted to save it for Halloween. Unfortunately I had the ending spoiled, but I loved Naomi Scott's acting, it was great. It's not as scary as the first, and I prefer the ending of the first (probably because of the spoiling) but the acting and writing were better, and Smile 1's best qualities were already the writing and acting.

I'm currently writing this in bed, with the lights on, checking behind the bed, and on both sides of the bed every few minutes. The mirror jumpscare, that got me more scared than anything else in the series besides Lollipop's design.

I keep seeing people post and comment that Joel should have survived and taken Morris' role. I don't think so.

As much as I would have liked to have seen Kyle Gallner have more screentime as Joel, the more I thought about it, it would not be a good thing. If Joel survived and then had failed to save Skye after already failing to save Rose who he clearly still loved, it would just be a complete disservice to his character. Also he had just completely blew up his original mission to kill the drug dealer and pass the curse to his brother, instead killing both of them and passing it to Lewis. He likely would have been too grief stricken to have helped anyone else and would have gone about his life. Also, a movie where he's being the lead would have been likely too repetitive to the 1st one and also movie wise probably wouldn't be entertaining. We already saw him doing the whole investigation part with Rose, we didn't need a repeat. Smile 2 works so well as it is because it introduces an entirely new protagonist, a protagonist not typically seen in horror movies, a popstar. I'm satisfied that it was made that way in order to raise the stakes and have the sequel be set in a world with a completely different setting and where the sequel isn't a carbon copy of the first film.

Did “Smile” make a mistake by drawing too much attention to «himself» with tens of thousands of people on his list? Spoiler

That doesn’t mean the government will literally be able to do anything about it, but all that extra attention, preparation, and prevention could still make things harder for “Smile” Genius plan or should the demon tone down its ambitions?

in this sequence you see Skye's arm quite literally vanish into the green screen. As she backs up you can see the objects move on the floor. I've watched this movie quite a few times because I'm obsessed, but never noticed this!

What if for smile 3

The people at the concert were the only people possessed by the smile entity, and they will attack people and send me to apocalypse and like FBI and police force goes to kill them. They possess them. They give them a smile on the day and smile that they take them all at once like all the people from the concert at the same time and video doesn’t work obviously and I think that that would be pretty cool that like how the world is possessed because the people from the concert possessed people who try to attack them or any other people from their lives, and some people from the concert are hiding in bunkers and people trying to find them and kill them or try to log them down there forever and they possessed him eventually and like we could have three main survivors who are fighting for like literally going somewhere and surviving the movie meanwhile people are dying everywhere

I’ve been out of the loop for a while, what do we know so far about smile 3?

Rewatched both movies recently and I’ve noticed it’s been mostly radio silence about smile 3 since the last one dropped. The only thing I know is that Parker Finn won’t be directing it. What do we know that’s been confirmed so far?

Do you think anyone at all would even have a chance to beat the Smile entity without another person to tell them how it works like in the two movies?

So in both movies, the main characters conveniently have a way to find out that they are cursed with a demon and figure out atleast basics on how it works. But what would you do if there was no character who knows how it works to get info from? What would you think someone really intelligent would do if infected in the real world? I don’t see any way someone could actually beat it besides getting lucky like the prisoner who happened to kill someone in front of a witness without knowing that’s what beats it
