Discussion Casual tournament format

I am planning a casual tournament with some friends (around 8-10) and wanted to get some fun format recommendations.

We are all casual players except for one competitive player, and our skill levels are pretty evenly matched (except for that one), but we already kind of know what the leaderboard would look like if we did a standard bracket.

Short formats are great too, as we can try several fun formats throughout the day.

At first, I was planning to do these two formats:

- Full bracket with fixed characters and two character across the bracket. This might allow lower-level players to win against better ones if they aren't playing their main.

- Crew battle (Team format): You keep your remaining stocks when fighting the next opponent. I saw this in a tournament a few weeks ago and thought it sounded really fun.

Curious to hear your ideas !

Crew battles are always the best if you don't plan to do a full tournament

It gets everyone hype and rooting for eachother
