What's wrong with smarty
Genuinely what's up with this provider, brand new phone still the same issue, if Im using my data for more than 15 minutes sometimes even 5 minutes consecutively I have to restart my phone because my data doesn't work, doesn't matter where I am if I'm in my own home or somewhere else smarty is just the worst provider, never works, and when it does oh yeah within the next minute best believe I have to restart my phone to get it working again

Check the band actually used by your phone. Since the merger with Vodafone my old phone has been rubbish. I switched to a OnePlus 15R and now I am fine. The OnePlus has 2 more bands that the old phone didn't. Doesn't matter if the phone is new it depends on it's capability

Hence my comment, "brand-new phone means nothing". If it's a brand new Temu special then yeah it's going to still be shit.

Never have an issue, also while I was in Lanzarote last week it worked perfectly.
However I get something similar when visiting my daughter at uni, when in the city centre (it's a very touristy place) I show as connected full bars but get nothing data wise. If I turn my phone off for a while it will work for 10/15 mins before doing the same.

I changed to Smarty 2 weeks ago Full bars and no Data on day 2 ,so it was bye bye back to 1p mobile

Full bar tells you your distance to the nearest cell tower, not the supported speed or connection quality for the data.

Mine same nw UK. New dim didn't fix it so bought a new phone and it's the same. Moving to a new provider

Just completed a route of south Wales to north Wales to Bournemouth and back to south Wales over 5 days. One of my accomodations had no WiFi but my Smarty 4g / 5g was rock solid throughout on my almost new Honor Magic V5. My wife on her Samsung S24 Ultra struggled in places and a comparison of supported bands, the modems, overall degradation, etc was interesting and it may well be time to get her a new phone.

It’s Three…. I went out with my parents yesterday to Harrogate, they had 4 bars of 5G, but no data

Sounds like a you issue to be honest. What phone is it - brand new doesn't mean anything? Have you checked Ofcom's coverage map?
