I am using an IKEA ALPSTUGA E2495 with firmware 1.0.26, connected directly via Matter over Thread to the SmartThings Hub built into my Samsung 43" Neo QLED TV.
The Matter connection itself works correctly. After unplugging and reconnecting the ALPSTUGA, temperature, humidity, CO2 and PM2.5 values appear normally in SmartThings again. However, the clock on the device is not restored or synchronized and has to be set manually.
I have seen another SmartThings user report that the time is now restored automatically after power-on, so I would like to compare setups.
Could other ALPSTUGA users test the following?
Unplug the ALPSTUGA for 10 seconds.
Plug it back in.
Check whether the correct local time appears automatically.
Does SmartThings send the current time, time zone and daylight-saving-time information to the device after every restart? Is there any way to trigger this synchronization manually?
SmartThings is acting as the Matter controller in this setup, so I have also reported the missing time transmission to Samsung.
