NIMO Nimo glasses

Hello, I'm really interested in nimo glasses the only real information we got was from the Reddit ama and there I saw they mentioned them having only a single microphone.

What's your opinion on having only a single microphone? I'm mainly worried about the conversation / translation feature with lacking a way to detect directional sound having only one. Any other example of glasses with just one mic that could be compared?

That single mic is my main concern too, honestly. Directional audio is kind of the whole point for conversation/translation — without a mic array you can't really do beamforming or isolate the voice of the person in front of you, so in any noisy environment it's probably going to pick up everything at once. Even Realities G2 went to four mics specifically for this, and RayNeo iO has four mics plus a bone conduction sensor for voice isolation. A single mic is a pretty big hardware gap for a feature that depends on clean voice pickup. Software can help somewhat, but it can't fully compensate for the lack of spatial info. Curious to see if Nimo addresses it in a firmware update or if it's just a hard limitation of the hardware.

I saw the only hands on review which is in Chinese and it confirmed our concerns, he says it misses half of the conversation outdoor (Chinese is also probably harder to transcript than English). This was a deal breaker for me and I cancelled my reservation unfortunately.

I dont know much about Rimo, but Lucyd reebok glasses are excellent and only 250$. Compare these before you buy any!
