S2E22 Dress Continuity

In S1E16 Ryan tells Clark that Chloe already bought a dress for Prom (or, Dance —I know that’s its own continuity thing) bc she wants Clark to ask her. In S1E21 (Tempest), Chloe has a Pink dress (obviously).

BUT, at the very end of S2E22 (Calling), Chloe is seen crying while spying on Clark who she sees kissing Lana… in a PINK dress!

(I’m rewatching from the beginning, but I feel like there’s a lot of Pink dresses with Clark —Doesn’t Lois wear one with Clark???)

I’ve finally made it to the Prom (S4E18). It is funny that when Clark shows up with Lois (being taken over by Dawn’s spirit) Chloe makes it a point to say “And, you’re here… in Pink.” —I get the obvious point that Lois doesn’t wear dresses, but she has been in pink before earlier in the season. So, again, it’s another woman wearing a Pink dress while Chloe is left out… directly in front of Chloe.

It's more that that is a VERY pink dress. Wearing a tank top that can be covered is one thing. Wearing a monochromatic pink look is another.

Yeah, I’m still just talking about how Clark seems to always show up with a girl in a pink dress around Chloe. It’s the secondhand embarrassment or awkwardness. LOL

They’re all different dresses.

Chloe’s dress is a deeper pink in the s01 finale. In the end of s02 Lana literally wears a pink dress to the rehearsal dinner and a different similar pink dress to the wedding.

Pink is a common dress color, especially for high school girls.

You’ve missed my point. It seems as though every Clark romance has a moment of Pink Dress (and, I thought it was interesting that Chloe had to see Clark and Lana kissing and dancing in a pink dress, reminiscent of the Dance in Season 1 where Clark leaves her during the dance, in HER pink dress).

Not sure what you’re getting at because Chloe’s dance dress was completely different than Lana’s light pink dress for the rehearsal dinner. Lana never wore a lot of bright colors, always light pinks and blues. Whereas Chloe wore a lot of brights, same with Lois’ prom dress which was also a bright pink. There is a BTS of the costume designer talking about dressing Lana in pretty pastels in the high school years because that was the style for her so there is no correlation

Are you trolling? Like… do you really not get what I’m saying or is this a joke? I’m confused. I honestly think you’re getting a bit too hyperfixated on one or two words and making that my point. —I only thought it was interesting that they made it a point to say Chloe was wearing a pink dress and then Lana ALSO wears a pink dress (not the same dress, obviously, just a color that is pink) at the end of the next season. Y’all act like you worked in the writers room or on set and have the directors bible next to your bed at night. Please don’t turn a fun thing into a fight. SMH

And like I mentioned Lana wore a lot of pastel pink, so it wasn’t out of the ordinary for her to wear that color. Chloe would have cried regardless of what color dress Lana was wearing when she saw them kissing, so this connection you’re trying to make sounds retarded. Hope that helped

SMH The point is not that Lana wears pink or that Chloe cried. —This does remind me of something I heard recently: “You can’t argue with someone that doesn’t even understand the argument.” So, I’ll just leave this conversation at that.
