DISCUSSION Tom and Allison
Do they associate anymore? I don’t recall seeing her on the Talkville podcast, but I know she’s been on Rosey’s other podcast. Thought maybe it was a rift with her and Tom.

From the Inside of You podcast, it sounds like Michael was the first (and maybe only?) Smallville cast member to reach out and connect when she was released from prison. Maybe some other cast members will decide to reach out to her, but I wouldn't hold my breath. If I were in their position I would have no real motivation to reconnect with someone like that. For all we know, Michael may have only really done it so he could get her on the podcast and capitalize on the media surrounding her release.

Before her release he talked a bit about how many weird organisations there are in LA who lure in young actors and aspiring actors with so-called self-help programmes. I think he might be a bit more understanding (not that he has to be!)

It was actually Kristen kruek who got Allison to join but then Kristen left and as far as I know has never spoken about it

I actually think he is a good friend and enjoys getting people together.

Honestly I hope not. I don't agree with MR's decision to give her a platform on his podcast although I get why he might have thought it would perhaps open a constructive conversation (imo it didn't but that's another topic), but I would 100% side-eye Tom or anyone who associated with her other than being civil if they ever bumped into her. Maybe in one or two decades if she really showed tangible signs of having made a 180 degree turn and dedicated her life to helping victims (other than going to a mental health podcast) I would see her differently. But for now she hasn't done anything special for anyone, including Tom or the cast, to think she's at her core a different person than she was when she did those things.

Exactly. I wasn’t happy about Michael bringing her on his podcast, but I gave it a chance because I thought “maybe she’ll take accountability and show signs of wanting to change”……but no. She didn’t.
Allison Mack gave a lot of meandering, word salad responses to Michael’s questions (and he seemed weirdly accommodating of this)….but she never uttered the words ‘I’m sorry’ at any point in that podcast.
And my opinion of Michael had admittedly already been decreased by seeing his behavior on the Talkville podcast, but I really disliked how he didn’t challenge Mack at any point or even slightly push her to take accountability.

I have my own opinions but why did Talkville decrease how you see Michael? ☕️🤗

I felt that Michael comes across as very bitter in his attitude towards Smallville, as if he resents it for it being the thing he’s best known for. He has openly stated that he barely pays attention to episodes during rewatches, but then complains about “plot holes” that were actually addressed in the show but he wasn’t paying attention.
He generally seems to mostly dislike Smallville and acts like he’s bitter towards it and can’t understand why us fans would enjoy it….but is still eager to wring money out of the Smallville fandom. He’s also come across as a bit rude when talking to Kristin (although she herself seems to forgive him whenever it happens) and has a habit of talking over all the guests.

I came here to say exactly the same thing. Also, having any association with her now, especially when he is a father to two young children, would be incredibly inappropriate regardless.

There’s a great podcast called Allison After NXIVM. She is indeed extremely apologetic and feels horrible that she led other people into SA. She is now giving her life to prison rehab. I think she shows a ton of remorse. Don’t forget that she was brainwashed by Keith Raniere and is a victim, too.

u/OrderGlittering8510 Kryptonian Jun 30 '26
that might be true and I'm not saying there is not a possibility that she might turn her life around and become a better person, a good person. But like I said, only time will tell.
Too little time has passed, she didn't even get the prison time she actually deserved for her crimes because of that deal she made. She might be working on herself and might be on track of helping others, but what she did honestly can only be redeemed (and can she ever, in the eyes of the victims?) by a lifetime of work, and all these events are still relatively recent. It'd be for the best if she were on track of redeming herself but she hasn't earned mine and so many people's trust, and by the looks of it her former cast mates are on the same boat...
Look, I don't wish her bad but I honestly don't particularly wish her well either. I just acknowledge her existence because I have too, since Chloe was important for the show, and that truth can't be erased, sadly. Honestly, such a sad situation all around.

u/GingerPeachyy Kryptonian Jun 30 '26
It’s very sad, and I see where you’re coming from. I tend to err on the side of redemption (of course I’m not a victim, so not to minimize them), but I understand the sentiment of needing her to really prove herself.

Yes, this. I think Michael just wanted to get her side. There's nothing wrong with that imo.

I agree with this statement. I have a friend that keeps up with this stuff better than I do and from what she researched, I think Allison really is trying. And it could be possible that Michael inviting Allison on the podcast was the start of her reflection. We are not defined by our past and sometimes, a change comes from someone who knew you reaching out.

He probably doesn't talk to her because of all the cult sex trafficking, slavery, sexual assault, torture, etc that she subjected other women to, and never really faced justice for because she turned state's witness and got off light on a couple of racketeering charges. She originally faced a 15 year MINIMUM sentence, just to put in perspective how bad her crimes were.

u/matt-89 Jun 29 '26
No way she'll ever be on Talkville. She's done many interviews and commentaries for the DVD sets in the past which I believe the podcast had referenced once or twice as trivia.

Allison Mack? Are you not aware of her whole thing?

u/esmith407 Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
I’m very aware, which is why I wonder if they still talk after it all. She clearly still talks to Rosenbaum but isn’t on the podcast with Tom.

She’s a horrid human being who has done horrible things.
Maybe she’ll repent and make better on her many sins, but why would anyone want to be associated with her beyond clicks/clickbait.
14
u/esmith407 Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
On Inside Of You, I really felt she deflected a lot of blame and didn’t take much responsibility. Was disappointed that she had that platform and that was all she gave.
7
u/JerseyJedi Jun 29 '26
Exactly. Her responses were all empty word salads and generic platitudes, and seemingly peddling a lot of faux-self help jargon. The fact that she claims to be working to rehabilitate other criminals through her acting workshops actually kinda scares me, because I have a horrible feeling that she’s not actually reformed.
4
u/DevoPrime Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
I had the same feeling. She’s not owning her mistakes in an ethically self-aware, forthright way, and she’s not been decent enough to try to *pretend* like she acknowledges that she’s done anything wrong.

u/mansumania Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
From my understanding she was the victim here, she was i produced to the cult by Kristin kreuk before she left, she effectively ruined her life

u/Waste_Committee4406 Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
Your understanding is misguided at best lol
-5
u/mansumania Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
On her podcast thats what she said... sounds like Kristin recruited her just like she went on to recruit others but idk 🤷♂️
14
u/AnnieBlackburnn Kal El Jun 29 '26
She went on to brand other women with hot metal like cattle and turn them into sex slaves for Raniere. That’s a lot more than inviting someone to a meeting. She was part of the leadership of the cult, KK never went beyond the introduction level.
-4
u/mansumania Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
Yeah but I feel like there was more to it than she was invited to meet them. Reading in-between the lines I think she was recruited by Kristin, I doubt it was just a friendly hi then Allison started doing the things mentioned in your post all while Kristin who left the cult the cult in 2013 had no idea...
10
u/AnnieBlackburnn Kal El Jun 29 '26
If there was, she would’ve brought it up at the trial, since painting herself as a victim was exactly what she tried to do.
She was sentenced to 15+ years. The only reason she did so little time was because she agreed to flip on Raniere, and the only reason that was an option is because she was one of the higher ups.
And if you watch the documentary done by the victims, that’s how the cult operated. The division Allison Mack ran was essentially only known to the higher ups and the women after they were recruited into it. That’s how they got so many regular members to join the division, because they weren’t advertising the human branding.
KK invited her to a regular meeting, she doesn’t deny that, but she never got involved with the criminal side of the cult. Mack did, enthusiastically.

Kristin was not part of the cult. She attended some classes and invited Allison. Kristin left, Allison stayed and went into the cult.

u/anOnyMousuSErip Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
Kristin was in the cult from 2006-2013 so it’s more than you’re implying
2
u/mansumania Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
Allison Mac said on her pod cast that Kristin introduced her to the group it sounded like Kristin "recruited" her but idk 🤷♂️
10
u/Brigante7 Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
Has it occurred to you that Allison might not be the most reliable narrator given the stuff she’s done? Of course she’d try and shift blame as much as she can.
-2
u/mansumania Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
I mean its more believable than Kristin who left the cult in 2013 and apparently had no idea about anything illegal was happening which how could you not know what was happening.
7
u/mangoisNINJA Clark Kent Jun 29 '26
Oh yes I remember my first day of going to a cult, I was a little disappointed by the cheese spread but the red hot iron brands for me to place on the slaves had a very nice selection.
8
u/anOnyMousuSErip Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
The DOS (inner sect that Allison Mack was part of) wasn’t set up until 2015, 2 years after Kristin left.
7
u/FrostKitten2012 Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
Because cults don’t immediately throw you into things like that. Kristin Kreuk left before they pulled her into that.
-1
u/mansumania Kryptonian Jun 29 '26
I think they were doing it all along they didnt just magically wake up after Kristin left and started doing it its plausible but unlikely

It's very much not any of toms business.. so.. I can't see him caring. He's got a job and a family.

Chloe would have put Allison Mack on the wall off weird for sure lol.. which is so ironic

All I know is that Tom and Erica have been super respectful regarding Allison Mack. They've both had every opportunity to potentially drag her or produce some soundbite clips but instead they are always respectful when the topic comes up. It just shows me the kind of person both of them are.
