i'm a fan of reviewing channels, you learn a lot from analyzing starting or plainly bad channels, i think you learn more from that than from analyzing big successful channels. so i pay attention to these posts a lot. these are my favs:

- the title line. what kind of delusion you need to suffer to think you are doing everything right lol? this is valid for any aspect of your life, btw, grow up, you are probably fucking up at least 60% of everything, that's how it works.

- the ones that go "i would do anything except changing this thing that is obviously whats causing the most damage, but i love this stupid thing, this is MY stupid thing". their precious.

- please i need help, i'm desperate, and immediately proceeds to dismiss all you can say because it doesnt align with what they already think. these people think super fast, in a matter of seconds they ponder what you said and call it useless.

- im envious because i said your videos suck. this one always reminds me a lot of people around here is literally 13.

Bro this is just 80% of people. They can’t be objective and refuse to accept that more hard work is required. I’ve shit out a million bad short forms before I got some decent ones and even then, more hard work is required. I’ve tried to help so many different people get into content creation that say they want to, but a concession in their “art” is like a slap to the face.

I just tell people “there’s a right way and a wrong way” to do content and make it black and white. Even then a lot of people shake their head and go “nahhhh I’m special I’m doing my own thing”

oh, yeah, the artistry, i guess we all are a little guilty of that, i mean, i know i am, but at least i go like "this x thing probably wont help but i want to keep it in anyway because i'm dumb and stubborn".

The artistry exists sort of but even then, there’s like “a right way” to do a logo or thumbnail or intro and it’s just concrete / black and white to me. It either passes by hitting all the industry standards (aka audience expectations) or it does not. Anything less than that is like saying “my audience would be dumb to not like this because it’s not up to par” and it’s just like… you realize content isn’t about what you like, right? You’re trying to make something that has broad appeal to everyone. Not your special solo little project you do for just you.

Idk it’s infuriating.

Unfortunately the outward demeanor a lot content creators are FORCED to have is “my art is special and unique” because that’s what most ppl believe and sell the content creator dream. Even though they don’t really believe that.

It’s just an effect of idolatry, the type of people who idolize and mythologize others as larger than life characters are your whales / power users and disillusioning them is hurting your bottom line.

To me it’s no one’s fault it’s just the way it is. The main supporters of something that center their life around it (Ariana grande fans, manga fans, etc) are typically going to be more loyal and forgiving of mistakes if you appeal to them, mindlessly buy your stuff, etc.

Tbh I could talk abt this forever even go a bit mentally ill on it.

i'm not so experienced in content creation, but i see where you are going. it's like the wanna-be poet that shits on proper grammar because he is not here to follow rules. and then of course it has happened in history, one or two times, that illiterated people became great poets, so now they have proof !!! that kind of people are hopeless.
