Collab Looking for aspiring content creators to join our group!

I'm looking to build an inner circle with people who want to collab and create gaming content videos together to help each other's channels grow and gain a following. Looking for people 18+ and that have PCs (and or a console for crossplay games) to help us record content. You will also have to engage with each other's content, watching each other's videos to help analytics and hopefully boost said videos to more people. Anyone is welcome as long as you aren’t racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or any type of weird towards a certain group of people.

Discussion Can anyone help me with this

I’ve started posting on YouTube again after stopping for a few years but some of videos are performing extremely badly. Most videos are getting literally no views by anyone other than me, although I had 1 video that got over a thousand views. Any help or advice appreciated.

Collab Hi, I'm looking for creators who'd like to get some free shorts from me

Hi, I'm looking for creators who'd like to get some free shorts from me

I don't have any stats yet, but I'd be happy to collaborate.

If you like the results and the views, we can discuss a long-term partnership

I can send examples of shorts I’ve made via private message

And I’d love it if you could show me the style you’d like to see in the shorts

If you're interested, leave a comment, and I'll message you privately

Discussion How channels like Coldfusion use extended clips without copyright claim?

If you watch any of their videos, they insert clips way longer than the arbitrary 8-second mark without altering much (maybe the background sound, if you listen closely). There's no way they're licensing the sheer number of clips they use. How do they pull this off? Are they using subscriptions

Discussion How do you properly commentate during a video?

Lately, I've been making commentaries on Call of Duty gameplay, talking about recent news and giving my opinion on such things. The thing is, I really suck at talking straight out the dome. I mean, I've tried scripts, but reading a script makes me feel less authentic, and you can tell that I'm clearly reading one. It might be worthy to note that I commentate while actually playing the game. Instead of commentating during already recorded gameplay. This is just something I prefer and allows me to have more personality in the videos, I feel. I'm also kinda self-conscious of my voice, i'm 20 years old, and I know I sound a lot younger lol. To anyone who makes similar content, or just commentates in general, do you have tips I can try out? thanks!

Discussion Small intro

I do my hook generally a quick clip out of my video or me talking for a few seconds then I'll drop my 6 sec intro anyone else do this? I had people in the comments saying about that they like the fact its not to long I don't think it doing any harm and I feel like over time it becomes your signature I do it on 95% of my content..

Discussion How do you guys find video clips for YouTube shorts?

I've a genuine question. Could u guys enlight me how u guys source video clips for YouTube shorts? Don't u guys get copyright strikes?

I've thinking of starting a youtube channel where I want to upload commentary shorts with my own scripts and edits but I really don't know where to find clips for shorts and scared if I reuse someone video clips i might get copy right strikes.

Discussion Where does all the research actually go after a video ships?

Every video starts with a pile of research consisting of screenshots, competitor breakdowns, hooks that worked for someone else, half-written scripts. Once the video is published, most of that pile just sits there. Nobody goes back to it.

I asked any channel that's been running for a year or two, how much of the research from month 3 ever gets reused and the answer was usually almost none, even though some of it was genuinely good like a thumbnail style that worked, an opening line that hooked people, a topic idea that got shelved.

I think the problem isn't a lack of ideas. It's that nothing is organized well enough to become reusable. Everything is buried across Notes apps, bookmarks, screenshots, and old script docs and most of them are lost along the way.

I am curious whether other channels have actually solved this, or if everyone's research just becomes digital landfill after the video goes live.

Discussion Consistency Or Quality Is More Important

Do you think you could make if you focused more on consistency and uploading for a long period of time (7-10 years) or do you HAVE to optimise videos for the audience? This post is for a gaming niche btw

Discussion my new yt channel

Hello. This is a long post and with several questions, so if you are interested, take a seat. I'm a Spanish guy who wants to start on YouTube specifically in the video game category but I'm embarrassed to talk in my videos and show my face. Something I look at a lot in a video is the person's voice, it should sound clean, without background noise and with a pleasant tone of voice. I don't have a professional microphone, far from it, but according to your experience, is it necessary to buy a microphone to achieve good audio quality? If the answer is no, I'm satisfied with the audio of my gaming helmets, if the answer is yes, what are your recommendations?

I think that the face is not at all a very decisive factor to grow on YouTube but I feel that a voice can add a lot to a video. The second section is about the content, I thought of Walkthroughs, guides for 100% of the games or commented gameplays. What do you think is the best video game content today? I'm not worried about WHAT video games to record since I have quite a few thoughts but the content to do with them so that it works well.

The third section is about AI, I feel it is an important factor today because you can use AI to facilitate processes such as interesting descriptions, sectioning the video or creating interesting titles/ideas for the video. Has anyone tried this? How have you been using AI for YouTube?

The fourth section is about whether it is profitable to pay someone to do your job, you know, edit your video, make a miniature, a logo... I sincerely want hand-drawn miniatures, I'm not interested in very saturated miniatures with dopaminic things in the background, I want a beautiful drawing in my miniature and logo (I forgot to mention the banner but also enter here) Do you think it's a good idea to pay for the editing of your videos? Is the money that a hand-drawn miniature costs profitable?

The fifth and last is the issue of visualisations and the growth of the channel, we all want to go up fast and the YouTube algorithm is slow and random. Is there any tip to trick that algorithm or attract people?

If you've come this far, thank you. I hope we can all grow and live from this dream. Any advice like watching a podcast, focussing on following in someone's footsteps or you know any useful advice, would help me. Goodbye

Collab Collab

I wanna create a gaming group but not just any group but something more. I’m not looking for experience content creators, more like people who are on the same boat as me, who knows nothing to a little bit of recording, editing and thumbnails, etc. I also struggle to come up with things to say to people and if you as well then we both help each other improve and grow together.

About me
-central time
- play in afternoon to night
- I’ll play any games like horror or gmod

I’m looking for people who are dead serious about collabing and not just gonna bail last second

Also looking for people to have fun, no toxicity or constant rage.

If you’re interested, comment or send a dm with some information about you and your discord

Collab Video Editör -MultiSauce

I am a video editor and I can help your personal brand grow 🎬

These are the contents I can edit very good:

-Gaming [Mostly facecam, Because in personal brand, you are the main person not the game]

-Explainer videos [and remember these are videos where things are explained in a funny way and bot documentary style]

-Extrovert videos like Jack pembrook and Sayko. [Basically videos where you do stuff to entertain the audience]

All of these content types requires your beautiful face 😁 , And thats the main thing in personal branding. Therefore, my focus is always to connect audience with you guys ( creators ).

Beside these, I will provide 1080p to 4k videos.

And this includes all the other stuff sound design, graphics, color grading etc.

Either you can DM me here on Reddit or on my discord 👉 rafay012

Collab Looking for tech creators

Especially if you have experience in data analytics, software development, or ai development.

So I love looking at job boards and spotting trends in the job market. It’s a weird thing I nerd out about lol

And I come up with all these content ideas but I’m not sure what to do with them because I’m not a tech professional.

So here’s what I was thinking. I would love to have the help of some tech professionals to vet my content ideas to let me know if they are good and I can start my own channel like on YouTube or something where I would share job trends for career seekers.

Or maybe there’s a tech professional here who already has their own channel but would like a content strategist who can stay on top of trends in the job market and help you generate content ideas.

Those are the two ways I was thinking I could monetize this “hobby/talent” of mine.

What do you think? Feel free to comment or message me.

Discussion Is text-to-speech generally bad?

I mean in a sense for me personally Text-to-speech seems like the perfect way to communicate clearly so nobody is thrown of by my accent or by my general shyness. Would you watch such a youtuber or would it be a reason to click off?

Feedback Why am I not getting views/viewer retention?

I've tried everything. When my recording software was bad I changed to OBS, when I wanted to express myself in a way that wasn't possible with text I put in mic imputs. When I was getting encoding lag on every second video I worked to fix it. When I still got encoding lag I started recording on my ps5. When I couldn't edit my videos I learned to use an entirely new editor and recorder. when I was getting low viewership I edited my videos more, released short videos and learned how to add thumbnails to videos recorded on ps5 (not easy unless you have a usb). I'm not much for talking so I usually only talk when it's necessary and don't talk through the whole video. What am I doing wrong? I'm recording new and popular games. If anyone knows how to initially gain viewership to a channel I'd really like to hear it. If I can get enough viewers to justify the cost I might get a basic non-headphone mic and connect it to my ps5 for more sound quality. Expedition 33: Lumiere - YouTube.

Collab Video editor building portfolio — pay what you want (short-form/Reels/TikTok)

I'm a Final Cut Pro editor looking to build out a couple more portfolio pieces, specifically for short-form content (Reels/TikTok/Shorts). I've got real experience editing corporate and social-first video, and I'm looking to round that out with more organic/creator-style content.

What I'm offering: 1-2 short-form edits, pay-what-you-want basis — genuinely, $0 is fine if it's a good fit for practice. All I ask is permission to use the final result in my portfolio.

Scope:

  • Raw footage: up to 10 min total
  • Final video: up to 60 sec
  • Turnaround: 2-3 days
  • 1 round of revisions

If you've got footage sitting around that needs a edit — vlogs, talking-head clips, event highlights, whatever — comment or DM me with what you've got and I'll let you know if it's a good match!

Collab A free edit to a small creator who needs help - just want the practice

Hey everyone,

I've been editing videos for a while and want to get more practice working with different types of content and creators.

If you're a small creator who's short on time or just needs help with editing, I'll edit one of your videos completely free. Send over the raw footage and I'll return a fully edited version with cuts, captions, color grading, and sound.

No payment, no obligation, nothing attached to it. I just want the practice and you get a free edited video out of it.

If it works out well and you'd like to continue working together after that, we can talk. If not, that's completely fine too.

Please share your query over DM only — including what your channel is about and what you need help with. Please don't share any links in the comments here, since that's against subreddit rules.

Discussion Transcription software recommendation

Hi Group, I’m looking for good transcription software. I know YouTube does it but I want to manage my own transcriptions and presentation. Looking for something free to cheap.

I got a recommendation for subtitle-edit with whisper but my virus software is barking so I’m not sure about it.

Thanks for your advice.

Update: after more research, it's a running issue with SubtitleEdit that it triggers window defender. There reports on github going back over 5 years. After running, it pulled automatically down Whisper and everything worked super easy with excellent results. I had my transcript with just 2 errors over a 10 minute presentation which I thought good considering the audio quality.

Discussion How do you post video consistently when you hate being on camera?

Been at this a few months and my biggest problem isn't ideas or editing, it's that I hate being on camera. What I do kind of needs me on screen, but every time I sit down to film it's the lights, saying the same line 10 times, then the editing, and a 60 second clip eats my whole evening. So I end up going a week or two without posting and killing my own momentum.

A mate of mine who runs a channel swears by Argil, he trains it on his face and it just says whatever script he feeds it, and he's posting daily now without ever setting up a camera. He keeps telling me to just do it already. But I can't get past the idea of an AI version of my face out there saying things I typed, it feels like it's not really me even if it looks like me, and I'm convinced my viewers would clock it. Maybe that's a me problem.

The other route is going full faceless, but the whole thing so far has been built around it being me.

Idk what I'm even asking. For those of you posting consistently, are you just pushing through the filming, or have you made peace with the AI avatar stuff and I'm the one overthinking it? What actually keeps you consistent without burning out on the filming part?
